Letters from Soggy Bottom: (read from the bottom up) Re: PBEM turn geoffel to aw1steveshow details If you deposit it in a river bank it might collect considerable interest. -----Original Message----- From: Steve Langevin <aw1steve@yahoo.com> To: geoffel <geoffel@aol.com> Sent: Sat, May 6, 2017 8:46 am Subject: Re: PBEM turn Sure I guess. Why? Do you think it will be of much interest? It's where my library is. Moving all my books up to waist level, setting up an electric sump pump and a gasoline powered trash pump in case that didn't work , or the power failed. Although the parks all around my house flooded, my basement was dry as a bone. Now it's time to put everything back, and to continue the gardening. (Mostly doing battle with the bushy tailed tree rats). I've fortified my raised gardens , sprayed them with capsaicin , and placed layer after layer of netting around them. (I've spread blood meal around them , next bags of moth balls and Irish spring soap). And I've been feeding the little buggers a regular gourmet buffet. Let's see if they continue to honor the truce. :) On Friday, May 5, 2017 2:54 PM, "geoffel@aol.com" <geoffel@aol.com> wrote: My house is on a ridge. It is 80' above the current flood and 70' above the flood of '93. If my house were flooded all of southern Illinois would be the greatest Lake ever. You would be going glub, glub glub now if you were lucky. I'm a mile from the River Des Peres but way up. I'm busy still in the garden so this next turn may take some time -----Original Message----- From: Steve Langevin <aw1steve@yahoo.com> To: Geoff Lambert <geoffel@aol.com> Sent: Fri, May 5, 2017 2:24 pm Subject: PBEM turn Back to you.
