Fixed it

I went in and deleted the config file for Seahag. The drawback though is if you delete the config file you lose all the changes you made to Seahag.

Hey, I don't know if this has been addressed before (so many pages in this thread ...) but when I'm adding ambient sounds, I can't save the setting and I have to redo all the settings each time. Ambient sounds work well but can't be saved :-( I tried to save before closing CMANO and after closing it but it has no effect. No idea what's wrong
I'm using SeaHag 1.0i and my Steam version of the game.
I really would like it to work because the app is brilliant and adding lots of sounds from Dangerous Waters make it absolutely gorgeous !
So I will really appreciate some help.
The error message I receive when clicking "save settings" is the following:
(and this happens only when I add new ambient sounds. If i keep the original sound files, the "save" works)

Just noticed with Chains of war that the format of the logs files has changed slightly - will update Hag this weekend to work, and I'll fix up the date processing so it works for all.

P.S. if anyone (powers-that-be) fancies sending me a pro license key I can make that do some interesting things that would be re-sellable on an international basis......

Thank you Sluggy I did notice after this latest upgrade to Command that it had killed something to your SeaHag software as up until now it has been working perfectly for me but now does not read out the log file texts at all (Command stamp changes make no difference now) I did spend a long time on trying to fix it but no matter what I tried it certainly didn't work like it was supposed too so hopefully you can fix that as and when you have the time Sluggy and yes hopefully someone will send you that key as it is more than you deserve mate.
Very much appreciate your software that enhances a already World class piece of software called Command!

Quick update - just testing now - all works OK - I've changed date processing to be a regular expression as well so will work better for the international users ( you can define your own date/time cuts ) for those with date processing issues.

The problem here is that the log entries are in local time and date format rather than a fixed UTC format - so I have made it work for all, those of you on 1.0h there were bugs fixed in 1.0i so you should really switch to the new 1.0j when I put it out tomorrow. Those using date formats like 1/05/2018 12:00:00 AM - will find that is the default - and I can help those that need different date processing formats on this page.

While I am in the code again - it has been a while - anyone want to get some new default expression in the table tell me in the next 24 hours and I'll add them in.

For those with large modified or complex speech or sound tables BACK_THEM_UP_NOW!! See page one for where they are held, the new date parameter is added to existing saved settings but the Microsoft libraries may force new settings folders for the executable.

Direct exe replacement for the version on page one - try and error report here.

Non default date / time formats post one line from your log here with date and time if it does not work - and I'll give you the regexp to enter for your date / country zone.

Thanks

Sluggy

On a quick test it seems to be fully working now for me anyway I already have my computer set to AM/PM format and just replacing your New EXE. file (not over writing it)has fixed it I tried various scenarios changing sides and so far so good all working!

So thank you for your fast response Sluggy on fixing this

Try the following for that format clock / date - can't seem to get mine to the same format - but have tested this one.

This 24hr format -
16.07.2011 11:03:46 - [Colombia] New contact! Designated SKUNK #10 - Detected by Sqd 811 # 1 (Dash-8-300 MPA) [Sensors: Generic SLAR] at 12deg - 47,7nm

This Regexp in the date expression field
"(0?[1-9]|[12][0-9]|3[01]).(0?[1-9]|1[0-2]).\d\d\d\d (00|[0-9]|1[0-9]|2[0-3]):([0-9]|[0-5][0-9]):([0-9]|[0-5][0-9]) - " don't enter the quotes but everything between - including the last space

edit: sorry just saw you asked for a log line from the CMANO logs:

28/01/2013 12:11:01 AM - [Bluefor] Contact: D-30 Towed Artillery Bty [Target] has been positively identified as: D-30 Towed Artillery Bty [Target] - Determined as: Hostile

Audio etc seems to be working great though, it makes all the sounds and voice alerts when things happen, just currently doesn't show the time stamp. I changed it back when we couldn't do 24hr time formats but I would really like to go back to 24hr if possible, which sounds like it could be now? When do you want me to test the 24hr time format? Thanks for the help Sluggy.

edit 2: Ah not sure why I didn't notice before, I see the scroll buttons disable after hitting start but they reappear when seahag is stoppped. That correct? Thanks Sluggy.

Just to test I changed my windows 7 time back to the default (24 hour time) put in the RegEXP string that appears in Sluggy's post above into the Date expression field saved everything and for the first time since Sluggy produced this software it is now reading out the text files while PC time is in default 24 hour time! you must run SeaHag first then load Command.
So for me it is working for both AM/PM or 24 Hour Format only have tested it though for a short while but so far so good but thought I would let Sluggy know it is at least working for me as he needs the feedback with something like this.

Peter, do you put that expression for the 24hour under the date expression (REGEXP) button that says default? Does it need to be pasted in there each time on load up?

edit: does yours show a timestamp or also removed?

Okay, changed to 24 hour format. Put in the regexp in the open text area under the default format. Below is a log stamp:
28/01/2013 00:11:01 - [Redfor (Air)] Contact: USS Stockdale has been positively identified as: USS Stockdale - Determined as: Hostile

I see "timestamp removed" still there, beginning to think that its meant to be removed? If thats so, all seems to be working I think :) Thanks Sluggy.

First delete the AM/PM string already in the box it can be replaced again by pressing the default button again at some later time.
Put in the long string "exactly" as Sluggy mentioned I tried twice then realized I had a dot at the start of the string that I could hardly see and so obviously it would not work until I removed the dot.
Make sure you press the "save settings button" after anything that is changed in SeaHag and no you should not have to put the string in every time I have saved a scenario gone back and everything starts as it should and the string stays in.

Yes "Time stamp removed" is shown in the SeaHag dialogue box but everything seems to read out OK and the 24 clock now shows in Command.
The Magic sentence is when SeaHag tell you which side it is playing! then everything should work.
I am running Windows 7 64 bit and now have the default time in windows (24 hour)

Hope that helps

Peter

Good - hope this helps the international players get their time zones covered and running, I'll update the main pack on page one tomorrow.

Nukkxx - thanks for pointing out the sound triggers save problem - all fixed now, use the +/- for creating new lines on the ambient sound tabs rather that the * record at the end.

bradinggs and Bomber49 thanks for the test runs,

Have fun - let me know if there are any more default speech tab entries that anyone wants adding tomorrow.

I noted one last error re - Nukkxx's ambient line edit - I have fixed it so suggest getting the front page version when I update it to 1.0k
For those who grabbed the above version in about one hour.
