So, i've been messing about in the scenario editor testing what various anti-shipping strikes are capable of doing and other sea-skimming related hijinks. I decided to spawn in a Udaloy for fun and to see what a grip of Sea Eagles could do against defences better than Mistrals.

It turns out that the only effective weapon the Udaloy has is its SAMs, for some reason. It'll happily fire those big 100mm guns at a 1% CTH when the missiles show on the horizon, but the two AK-630s CIWSs that definetly has the Eagles in their arcs are apparently not firing at all for some reason. I see the ammo count for them decrement by 2, but those apparent shots never show up in the message log at all, and they don't do anything else for the entire time time the missiles are inbound.

I've attached a save file with the Eagles about to enter gun range.

Same here when the Sea Eagles are within 1nm i manually engage them and when the window opens it is green for the firing of the CIWS and it even has all weapons allocated in brackets next to it. I try to manually allocate the AK-630 to the Sea Eagle and doesnt seem to work but it already has all weapons allocated in brackets anyway, i've no idea why they wont fire.

However if i remember correctly i think this issue had been raised before and there might have been an explanation for it, i might be wrong but if there is an explanation for it i cant find it. Target is viable, WRA is set, range, arcs, cannot for the life of me see any reason why it cant fire.

Hi,

We had an issue similar to this reported elsewhere, and we did discover a case where under a combination of circumstances a ship would not manouver to unmask CIWS mounts. This has been fixed for the next update, and we will also test to check if the fix covers this case as well.

the issue i have with that scen is that the AK-630s ARE fully unmasked, they just won't fire. Have to set them to manually engage for me to see any shots at all in the log.

build 936.16 doesn't seem to have actually fixed the issue. Still not seeing the AK-630 firing at all
