Hi

I just bought the two big DLC's and is playing around with the tutorials again to relearn the system. And since I really like the Air War over Vietnam area I took a copy of 1967 Down Town and enabled A/C Damage, updated the DB to newest and now all planes in the air has 90% damage.
How do I set it to 0% ?

Cheers
Mark

Whoa, that's a bit unexpected! Not sure how that happened. Did you try to do a deep rebuild?

Let me try to fix up something for you - and if not, I have my own scenario you might like to try as well!

Just to be safe, I manually re-did the USAF AI. See if this one works better for you:
[link removed, see below for fix]

And if you want to try a somewhat more complex USN Rolling Thunder scenario, I also just re-checked my Yankee Team and got it updated with new magazines and aircraft damage for CoW :)

Thanks. Tried 'Yankee Team' - your updated new link. It doesn't work. Scenario file corrupted, it says. Did I do something wrong? Should there be a config file to go with the SCEN file? Can't even open it to do a DB rebuild.

Tried just opening up and deep rebuilding the old file for Down Town, plus directing the program to the config file - result same as reported by OP - all aircraft at 90% damage at start.

Yikes, that's strange! Reuploading just in case...
[link removed, see below for fix]

Any luck with this one?

Nope. I get this:

If I click OK I get a second message saying 'Object reference not set to an instance of the object', or some such....

Very strange! I'll look into this. May be a version issue...

Ah yes, my bad - it's one version ahead of the released DB
Unless I find a way to convert it back down to the current version, it'll have to wait until the patching catches up, sorry about that!

I did the following:
- Made a copy of the scenario to another folder
- Changed the name and description
- Enabled A/C Damage
- Upgrade to newest db and deep build

Result, all airborne aircraft has 90% damage and I can't see where I set it to 0% manually :(

No, but tried it now with same result. Thanks for the suggestion.

Thanks, but it seems that the two links open the same file?

@Cougar_DK. I see it now, only the airborne USAF units start damaged even after a deep rebuild. My error, sorry. The fix until something official comes along is simple if tedious; open the scenario in the editor, switch to side USAF, open the OOB window and select a USAF plane, starting from the top of the list will keep things straight. Press the Damage Control button and set Overall Damage to zero and repeat until done. Use "Save As" making sure that you overwrite the existing scenario file, the process takes about five-minutes.

Make sure to post this issue in the Tech Support forum, I did not see something similar there and the Dev's may miss it here.

Thankfully it's not TOO complex a mission! All I had to do after the rebuild to make it work was basically replace the AI USAF aircraft by hand, assign the replacements to the same missions. I'd also added a couple of tankers just to be safe, because the mission planner was warning me about some F-105s not having enough fuel to make the full mission distance (might've been some changes in fuel consumption since the mission was first created). There don't seem to be any problems with either the USN or the VPAF unit rosters.

Thanks C

That worked. I did not see that entering 0 in the "Overall Damage" did anything but it does

And I will report it.

/Mark

Should work now (as long as you update to the latest CMANO patch)

No. Same error as I posted as a picture above. Niether will open. I'm on B936.16, the very latest iteration, I believe. Sorry. Am I doing something wrong? Like, do they need a config file in there with them (because there's none included in your zip)?

Just CCIPsubsim. What a nice scenario. I want to take my time with this one - just love games/scenarios where there are some kind of randomness

Thank you, I'm glad you've been able to enjoy it!

You may be happy to hear that there will be further (and much more developed) scenarios along the same lines from me, and eventually an improved remake of Yankee Team as well :)
