Hi guys,
Some days ago i talked to crispy131313 to have a game with his mod "Fall Weiss II" (version 7.0).
As he agreed, we have just started and we will report here from time to time news and some thinking about our game.
I play Axis. I have played SC1, SC2, and SC3 vs AI and Human players.
My knowledge of the Mod is quite "low" so... i will play cautiously (even more than usually). So, the German HQ is planning a very long war...
At a first view... i was surprised that there are different sizes of units (Divisions, corps and armys) but i didn't see much more diferences (maybe more units than usual). Research seems to be equal than vanilla game.
I will post some pics of the inicial deployment for Axis and his first "income".
Please, keep in mind that English is not my mother tonge... so... I will make grammatical mistakes for sure!

After finishing my firts turn some countries react to the invasion of Poland: Portugal, Turkey, Saudi Arabia... ones went closer to Axis, others to Allies.
I had to decide two questions (i mean different from Vanilla game):
- Help to Spain with food (Yes).
- Sending "Ribbentrop" to Switzerland (Yes).
I didn't understand or "see" many advantages to say "yes" to this questions, but i decided to do so just in order to "follow" the designer of the game proposal. Furthermore, it was very cheap.
This is my first income:

I hope you enjoy our game. Allies will also report, from his point of view, from time to time.
Please, feel free to ask, and speak about our game. I will love to read your post!

As diplomacy effectiveness is lowered these supporting Decisions (such as assisting Spain after her civil war) can play a major role in whether you can sway a neutural country onto your side. Events such as the one where you have decided to build a facilitator relationship with Switzerland will allow you the opportunity for Swiss & Portuguese trade agreements in the future under the right circumstances. Germany is more dependent on foreign trade for war materials in this version, so it is generally best to pursue foreign trade, while the Allies will attempt to disrupt German economy.

By the way Thanks BPINisBACK for the invitation to the live match and good luck!

Without giving away too much to my opponent, I can say that my early aims include ensuring Spain stays out of the conflict in Europe. To that effect I have chosen by Decision not to evoke the Anglo-Portuguese Alliance, ensuring Portugal's non-belligerency and have invested in Spanish diplomacy (scoring an early 7% swing towards the Allies!).

A weakened French Navy does make the Mediterranean immediately more vulnerable to an Axis invasion into Algeria. Though I have by Decision beefed up my defense of Malta with additional anti-aircraft batteries to help deter the Axis from thoughts of capturing the island. The French navy is weakened and reinforcement cost raised to reduce the "sacrificial" tendencies that naturally occur with the French Capital Ships.

The Poles as expected find themselves in a dire situation. I have ordered all forces to fall back to Warsaw. Any unit who could not has been tasked with counter offensive measures, successfully costing the Germans future replacement costs, while Polish Destroyers have escaped to the UK. The USSR meanwhile has begun crossing the Polish border, effectively triggering the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact.

While the BEF heads to France, Churchill is not so distracted and suspected the kriegsmarine would be making an attempt to slip into the Atlantic. A small British task force has engaged multiple Wolfpacks in the Norwegian Sea. No screenshot unfortunately as to not give away our position.

To end here is a screenshot of current Allied income:

OKW feel trust and confident.
Poland falled as usual and our forces moves now to the west quickly.
Only a few raiding operations were launched across the huge atlantic ocean.
Our italian ally, slowly but with mediterranean devotion , is setting up a great army to help us.
1940 will be an exciting year.

Some event decission were made to the OKW related to Portugal and Spain (and other stuff).
This is the diplomatic situation right now:

The Atlantic

Germany thus far has not engaged in any counter attacks in the Atlantic despite numerous encounters with Allied destroyers. No units have yet been sunk at sea.

1939 Wrap Up

Defensive of France, Britain & Egypt

The French and British have dug in and are ready to defend against the German invaders, in France, Britain, Egypt and elsewhere. Blackouts are in effect as to not give away our defensive formations. The BEF has been dispatched to France and the Polish I Corps to the UK, while Italian submarines spied Allied surface vessels maneuvering through the Mediterranean.

Despite both Germany and Italy sending food exports and Engineers to Spain, our diplomatic efforts have had tremendous results. Spain is now only 6% Axis leaning. Curiously the Axis have not spent any on Spanish diplomacy despite their exports to the nation which initially signaled their intentions to sway Franco.

March 1940

Actions And Reactions

As we await the next phase of Axis operations in Europe, in the Atlantic the Allies claim the first casualties at sea. Germany has also marched into Lithuania, shortening the distance between Leningrad and our enemy. Is this a German over-reaction to fortifications being built near Leningrad's city limits, or has this always been my opponents plan? I may never know.

OKW considers that war is going well.
We have lost a sub and Allied diplomacy is quite alive with Spain and some other minor countries.
But, so far, we are not worried.
Overal situation at this time:

As i said, the frontline is so narrow and we have a lot of powerfull units (BTW, no western planes is opposing to our advance). So... the "only" thing we have to do is to "look" the french line and "decide" which way is the best for us.
At the end of the turn our panzers cut the enemy "quite" easily.

I have no experience with PBEM so my defense against a competent Axis opponent's offensive strategy will certainly be put to the test. The French are melting away like butter so I am definitely not making any ground breaking maneuvers on this front.

No inclination of my opponent's next move after France have yet been hinted. I will admit the threat of Sealion feels very real in PBEM, but also very risky for my opponent. while with Italy still "neutral" the Axis' plans for the Mediterranean still appear to be up in the air.

June 30, 1940

As the German's approach Paris, the French have vowed to put up a fight. Initial counter attacks near Paris and Verdun inflict casualties on both sides. As we head into July, the French are in better fighting shape then I initially had hoped, and I feel Germany may be behind plan due to what seemed like a delayed Fall Gelb.

Elsewhere Italy has finally joined the Axis at turns end, stealing coveted 1st turn priority from the Allies.

Also of note, curiously I have not experienced much raiding activity in the Atlantic for several turns...
