spent some time trying to figure best place to pose these questions...figured this was most viewed forum.

>spent 5 years playing ver 1.06.06 only against AI, ....just upgraded to ver 1.09.0 (wow)

1-noticed that Axis rail construction unit FBD 5 (11th Army) has been removed from all 1941-45 campaign scenarios
-when and why ?
--is there any way to restore/reform this unit? (via editor?)
2-what are the Victory Conditions (decisive, whatever....) for 1941-45 'To The Bitter End' campaign ?

In version 1.11 you get from start a romanian FBD unit. Just saying.

Ps. On any case, why do you need another FBD unit? Four plus the romanian one are more than enough, imho.

There are never more than enough - if we had 20 FBDs I would find all of them extremely useful as Axis.

I have read the Rumanian one has less repair value than a normal FBD - and may have a bug.

It does actually come back as an arrival later in the game - but clearly not as useful as in summer 1941. Removed I believe to match the historical record and perhaps game balance.

FBD 5 was delayed - it was simply not there in 41. Romanian unit works in campaigns but has far less repair capacity and will be removed in August-September. It was only buggy in one "Road to" scenario.

FBD 1,2,3 converge on Moscow from three directions to create redundancy/backup in the rail net.
FBD 4 is for Lvov-Kiev-Kursk-Voronezh.

FBD 5 used to be for Kishiniev-Odessa-Nikolaev-Zaporozhye-Stalino-beyond.
without FBD 5, it's a different ball game in the Black Sea/Rostov area, for someone one who played 1.06.06 for 5 years. just sayin

I use HNord FDB for the Riga Posk then Leningrad lane.

Then the FDB farthest to the north of HMitte to go to Smolensk.

The other FDB of HMitte I railroad it to Romania to repair the lane to Odessa and Zaporozhie, while the FDB of H Sud makes the road to Kiev.

I find that is good enough, although I suppouse there can be better strategies.
