Apologies if this has already been addressed but during combat, my screen often freezes, with "not responsive" and a spinning wheel displayed. I can hear the combats occurring in the background and when they're finished everything returns to normal.

It's quite frustrating not being able to see what's going on and I have to then search the front line, looking for evidence of what's happened. Also, worryingly, on beginning to watch the YouTube play-through of TOAW 4, I believe this happens during the Iwo Jima scenario.

Thoughts? Solutions? Thanks in advance.

Cheers, Neilster

Hi, it's not in-game bug, it's related to the size of the order of battle and number of battles to play. Furthermore, if you have an old comp, things get worse.
Regards,

François

Thanks...I think. If it's what you say, then surely it's a software thing, and hence kind of a bug? Also, it occurs in the TOAW 4 play-through of the Korea 50-51 scenario, which is hardly a monster. My computer isn't old, is fast and I'm assuming the one used in the play-through is too.

What's going on is that it's executing the battles. With toaw 3 it would pause and pop up the combat result screen after each combat. It no longer does that. I can get rid of the spinning wheel thing.

Thanks for the reply. I had forgotten that it used to pause after each battle. I wouldn't mind that if I could actually see the battles. Only being able to hear them while looking at a frozen screen robs one of some of the experience. Sometimes I see them though
