After upgrading to v5.01 I've started a long campaign with the Soviets. My first battle was a Delay, no problems, everything went fine. The second battle was a defend and after spending forever placing my units, plotting my arty, and laying my minefield, I found that the AI only bought an HQ, 2 recon teams, and 2 Flakwagons. I checked preferences and the battle points was at default XXX. Third battle was another delay and it worked fine, but the fourth battle was another defend and the same thing happened. I set the battle difficulty on the buy screen to hard in all cases. Wondering if anyone is experiencing this sort of problem.

Yes, it's been noticed. The Poles and Nationalist Chinese have both been seen to have very odd setups; nothing but support weapons for the Poles, nothing but HQs for the Nationalists. Just as a wild guess, it looks like the infantry buying routine breaks down when masses of infantry won't soak up enough points for the AI side.

Hi. Try this, delete steel.prf, and restart spwaw and reset ur settings in d preference menu. It worked for me on a problem similiar to yours. THanks Ruibing
