Well, you're dead-on right. We do seem to be carrying on with our own plans, hoping the other will just stay out of our way. It's a crazy way to wage war. One forumite (I think Bullwinkle) is always telling me to quit worrying about what John's doing. Really, I'm just doing due diligence, trying to figure out what he's doing so that he doesn't sneak up and bite me and so that I don't blunder into him. But mostly, at this point, I know if I'm able to do the things I need to do, the war is going to end favorably for the Allies in the not-too-distant future. It really doesn't matter what John's doing out on the peripheries. What's happening in the heart of the game - Formosa, China, and the Home Islands - is all that matters most now. Well, militarily, anyhow. From a victory point standpoint, other theaters factor in to an extent. But I like the way thinks are taking shape for the endgame.
