I've been playing WitW back when it was released and have not touched it in quite some time. I have a couple of questions regarding the current state of the game.

What is the current consensus on the east front box? I remember that at some point many though it could be gamed really easily to hinder the allies greatly and was really unbalanced.

What are some commonly used house rules currently? I remember that there was a problem with allies forgoing an invasion of Italy and going for France in 43 which the Germans could not stop at that point in time, as a result a rule like "no invasion in France before 44" was used anything like that still around?

A question to a UI change that I noticed: in battle reports there can be 3(?) different icons next to the summery of involved and lost men / guns / AFVs. Those are the NATO icons for artillery / engineers and infantry, followed by a colon and a number. What does that represent?

Anything else that drastically changed that a returning player should be aware of?

Thanks in advance
