I am following the video guide to airdrops and when I click drop for the US 82AB unit that is pretargeted all I get is 'invalid airborne target hex' same with the one UK airborne brigade. I ran the video 3 times and followed it exactly. what am i doing wrong?

went back and watched the video again... no go.... in air transport unit mode F9 and when i click on drop i still get the invalid target hex for the one regiment...even when i target another 82nd regiment to that target hex it will not accept the drop even with enough prep points. same for the UK. Left click...Right click....no joy... both say drop but that is as far as it goes...with 50 prep points.

looked and saw proviso that your invasion forces must be done first, then airdrop. no difference. still said invalid target hex under air transport-unit. no joy in mudville.

I'm having the same trouble getting my airborne to drop. Unfortunately, I'm in the middle of the grand campaign and really don't want to have to re-install and start over. Had no trouble with AB drops in Sicily and Italy but now (getting ready to do my D-Day drops) it just won't work. Is this a bug? I'm running the latest (non-beta) version. AB units are fully prepped, on airfields, plenty of transports, supply, etc...
thanks!

You can post a save here or email it to 2by3@2by3games.com and we'll take a look if you tell us what unit you're trying to drop. As mentioned above, be sure you have ordered the invasion to land before trying to drop (unless dropping near friendly units during the movement phase).

Hi Joel,
Thanks for the quick response. Just did a "practice" invasion with one of my stacks and the AB is allowing me to drop now. Yeesh, I feel stupid. I'll make those lousy Germans pay for this.

thanks again!
