I had laid this game down for a breather. I picked it back up to play Torch and to learn about logistics. Not that this scenario is the only and best one for this objective.
Here's the 1st question: How do you supply units when you can't build depots since there are no rail lines in this part of the desert?

I'm still a noob but I just finished Torch as the Allies.

I was able to keep them supplied by capturing the ports along the gulf. Capture and then Priority repair.Supply will travel some distance from the ports through friendly controlled hexs by trucks. It's not optimum and you may have to occasionally rest some units. In an emergency you may be able to supply by air if transport planes are close enough.I also use the 8 key and check where units are getting supply then close the out distanced one's.
I had enough supplies at the end but TOE was under 40% for many units. BTW I didn't win. Stalemate but I was down 600 points.

Hope it helps a little.

For the Allies, air resupply is the key. Remember you can do this at any time in the land movement phase, so you don't have to do it before you move anything or at the end. Equally air resupply works better aimed at an airfield. So you have two choices, say you have an armoured division as your spearhead and it reaches an airfield hex, if you do the mission then, that division will replenish - so you can keep one, maybe two formations in pretty good supply. The alternative is to wait till a corps HQ reaches an airbase - do the mission then. That way the supply will be passed out down the chain of command, so you get more units to an ok supply state.

In either case key is to use the airbases to optimise delivery and make sure the Allied transport planes are as close as you can subject to them in turn being in good supply. Bit fiddly but its the key to the scenario.

Related, you can build depots on ports, so make sure every time you take a port put it onto priority repair.

Thanks,I was wondering how. Won decisive on easy, stalemate on normal, will work on logistics next time.

Yes thanks loki... Good Info.

That probably explains why the German AI in my game was flying supplies to some seemingly less important airfields.
