Just dropping by for my bi-yearly gushing session (usually happens whenever I grow weary of the sorry excuses for PC games that I force myself to endure before breaking down and re-installing the great classic ones).

So now, hot on the heels of yet another disappointing 4X experience, I'm back to Space Empires IV, Alpha Centauri, and SUDG. Yep, I have no qualms whatsoever about ranking SUDG right up there with those two immortal classics.

I hope sales have been good with SUDG, because there HAS to be a sequel. You do understand this, right? Shall I send you my money now or later? Grr, don't make me come over there, Matrix. :D

I mean, I'll certainly buy your new game for the same reasons I bought Aaron Hall's Dungeon Odyssey, even if it's not exactly my cup o' latte. But SU:SF, or even SU:TB, or maybe SU:R... sorry, my Drool Factor went off the scale for a moment there...

So, any plans in the making for a sequel to SU yet?

(If you could tell me, but you'd have to kill me afterwards, that's cool... I can live with that...)

Why thanks, Voidhawk.

I hear that Aaron Hall is coming out with a couple of more games based on the Space Empires series, one of them being SE-V. As for Starships Unlimited, there'll definitely be more to come. Just have to stay tuned. :D

Oh yeah, Aaron knows a cash cow when he sees one. :D

SE:Starfury looks interesting to say the least. I love freelance Privateer-ish space sims, but he's got some tough competition in Mr. Smart and his Battlecruiser franchise (which is slowly but surely turning out to be pretty amazing IMO). I guess what he also has is a pretty huge crowd of devoted SE fans, so it's bound to do well regardless.

You guys should put your heads together and create the definitive 4X game of the century! Starship Empires Unlimited!

MalfaZone... Hm... Has a nice ring to it. :D
