Cannot rather than repeat Obvert's comment. I'd like to stress only that this game is yes more detailed than war in the West. The user's interface though, unfortunately, is older and sensibly less good and agile than that of the "West" game. Honestly and objectively, a considerable pain and setback. One other importan additional feature and advantage here in this game is that it's more "global" and comprehensive: more detailed production model, especially for Japan. As mentioned by Obvert, unfortunately the land combat model, though comprising many very excellent and detailed features, is still pretty inadequate to the basic hexagon's scale (40 miles width) and sensibly underdeveloped in this respect. Reason may be historical, having the game been originated from one covering much smaller scale and thetre - atolls or small islands - while the developers probably not having been able to keep the pace with resepct to land warfare, when they later much enlarged the scale or extent of the theatre. Naval combat model is extremely detailed. Air model also, with some few noticable big gaps. The logistic model, relative to land and air, is outstanding, marvelous. Hopefully one day Matrix shall take on a sequel of the game. BTW, close to the holidays there are big sales, with 50% off discounts.
