Hello everyone what are opinions on which game has the best simulated air war and ground war simulation for ww2 any theater. Should include detailed supply simulation, terrain, and experiences modifiers. Looking for something rather large that would allow for maneuvers and strategic bombing to have an effect on the war. What are the recommendations for a war game like this? Thanks

IMHO either Gary Grigsby's War in the West or War in the East.

I recommend checking some you-tube videos to see if it's the scale you're looking for...Both are weekly turns. They are big games!

Thanks Jack54 ,. Honestly I was looking at War in the East, saw somewhere though that said the air war was not all that complex. The size is a little off putting but if the other elements are there I think I would enjoy it. I've been looking at WITE , Barbarossa , toaw3 and advanced tactics. Think I've got it down to the first 2 but wanted to see if anyone else had recommendations like yours.

with a manual as thick as most encyclopedia's

set as many planes to as many targets as you like, and bomb any type of land, sea or air targets with any planes in the time period or base, or move them around if you don't like where there based, or move and make a new base / AF, it's your choices, bomb load? yes, pick your own, height flown? yes.... weather to fly in? yes, night and day forces, oh yes

only a part of it, for air fans, it's the best air version you can get, if you want the focus on the West that is, it goes much more into detail than i can show, as i don't use the Air part too much myself and let the AI do it, as the depth is vast, so imo you need a much better player than me to do it justice, i just skimmed the surface on my shots and what was shown and displayed, it has much more in it, but to really do it justice, you need a master player and someone who has read and understood the manual, something i've not done as yet, just don't have the time to do it, or go into that sort of depth
