When I was somewhat younger, but still not young, I had a wicked stepmother. When I told her I played wargames she thought that meant I ran around in the woods with a paintball gun. One of her previous husbands, whose portrait in oil was omnipresent, had worked for Admiral Rickover, so therefor she knew everything about everything, naturally.

Ha ha ha - what a clueless lady! Everyone know that wargames are when kids hack the NORAD computers and start a nuclear war!

Leapin' and hoppin' on a moonshadow, moonshadow moonshadow.

Yes, I know that's not what he meant.

Anyways, time for a lady. Spotted her cause she got arrested for drunk and disorderly. Pretty hot. Softball player for Auburn, here's her stats.

Branndi Melero hit .340 with 40 career home runs and 208 RBI in 235 games with the Tigers. She was a NFCA first-team All-American and first-team All-SEC honoree as a junior in 2014.

Glad this post is getting back to its roots ..... was she drunk and disorderly with these stats or merely during down times ?

No sighting yet though I know one of them is aware of it because it took a dove nearby. Have checked for feathers and none seen. I've had three or more barred owls (which are quite large in their own right) in the area that might like a dip.

I have to file a O&G Warranty Deed in Calhoun County today (fortunately it's e-file). Always wondered where it was.

I'm shocked, shocked to find no DQ. Thought it was a state law that every town had one.

Service providers in the area just posted a 48 hour shutdown. Looks like it's gonna rain...

Harvey is explosively intensifying into a major hurricane. Worse, it's expected to hang around for a couple days.

http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/text/refresh/MIATCDAT4+shtml/242046.shtml

Key Messages:

1. Harvey is expected to be a major hurricane at landfall, bringing
life-threatening storm surge, rainfall, and wind hazards to portions
of the Texas coast. Preparations to protect life and property should
be completed by tonight, as tropical-storm-force winds will first
arrive in the hurricane and storm surge warning areas on Friday.

2. A Storm Surge Warning is in effect for much of the Texas coast.
Life-threatening storm surge flooding could reach heights of 6 to 12
feet above ground level at the coast between the north entrance of
the Padre Island National Seashore and Sargent. For a depiction of
areas at risk, see the Storm Surge Watch/Warning Graphic at
hurricanes.gov.

3. Devastating and life-threatening flooding is expected across the
middle and upper Texas coast from heavy rainfall of 15 to 25 inches,
with isolated amounts as high as 35 inches, from Friday through next
Wednesday. Please refer to products from your local National Weather
Service office and the NOAA Weather Prediction Center for more
information on the flooding hazard.

4. The Potential Storm Surge Flooding Map is available on the NHC
website. This product depicts a reasonable worst-case scenario -
the amount of inundation that has a 10 percent chance of being
exceeded at each individual location. This map best represents
the flooding potential in those locations within the watch and
warning areas.
