If your using it outside the game mine doesn't work either, mine doesn't show ME in the drop down. I see it listed in the settings file but no ME option in the drop down. I haven't had any problems using it in game, and i used it today.

For use outside the game, you'd need to navigate to /tools folder and add Middle East=[location of your CSME install] to "settings.txt". Then it should work:

Now, if you haven't yet, create a desktop shortcut for the CS_UnitViewer.exe in that folder. Then, by clicking it, you should be able to select the game you want to look at:

The UnitViewer I have in my JTCS folder is an older build. However, the latest few "2-series" (version number begins with 2.*) UnitViewers should work both with JTCS games and with Middle East 1.x games.

Middle East 2.0 will ship with a new UnitViewer community tool by Arkady, of "3-series" version number. It won't support JTCS anymore. So keep those old UnitViewers around.

Here's Middle East 1.02 viewed by an older JTCS UnitViewer that came with JTCS 2.02 I believe.

Do check Arkady's UnitViewer website for latest development. ("3-series" UnitViewer is under testing and not released yet.)

Thanks for all of the help. I did not realize that there was an option to access the unit viewer in game. If it is in the manual I did not see it. Of course I find the Manual to not be a whole lot of help especially for non ground units.

What would you like to see in the manual, Bioman?

UnitViewer can be accessed in-game by hitting F3. If you have an unit active, it opens with that particular unit data displayed.

It was a very late addition to 1.02 as I recall, just made the deadline, and included co-operation with UnitViewer programmer Arkady. I was not sure it made the manual, but checked and found a mention at p. 37 in 1.02 manual.
