Hi,

Playing as Axis PBEM version 1.08, I never got DE607 or DE608, despite being overrun by the Allies in 1944.

Playing as Allies, also PBEM 1.08, my opponent did not get these events until early 1946, just before the Russians took Berlin.

Anyone else seen this? Have the scripts changed or is this possibly a bug?

Hi Leadwieght

I'm not sure why these wouldn't have fired, they've always fired in my own games when things have got bad for the Axis.

The trigger conditions are as follows, maybe one of them wasn't met?

#DATE= 1942/01/01 (or later)
; Berlin is in Axis hands
#ALIGNMENT_POSITION= 173,74 [1]
; 1st Line - Germany politically aligned with Axis and not surrendered
#VARIABLE_CONDITION= 45 [1] [100] [0]

; 3rd Line - USA politically aligned with Allies and not surrendered
#VARIABLE_CONDITION= 115 [2] [100] [0]
; 4th Line - France politically aligned with Allies and not surrendered
#VARIABLE_CONDITION= 40 [2] [100] [0]
; Allied units approach Warsaw
#CONDITION_POSITION= 188,76 [6,10] [2,2] [2] [0]
; Allied units approach Konigsberg
#CONDITION_POSITION= 187,68 [4,6] [2,2] [2] [0]

The problem I've seen is if Mainland France is liberated but not Algiers (if the capital moved) then the event won't fire.

Ah, good point. Maybe we can just drop the French condition as the presence of Allied forces near Cologne and Mainz should be enough.

Leadwieght, would that change be the key to the situation in your game?

Great, thanks Leadwieght. I'll make a change here as it should apply when the Allies are closing in on the Reich, regardless of whether the French capital had moved to Algiers.
