We need to decide which one will be it. I LOVE the work. Adm Dadman is the creator. Let him make the decision. WE have the payout now so pick your favorite Sir and send it over!

DOCUP--More then happy for you to use ANYTHING from the work in the Mods. You already know this and that is why I Posted the 'tip of the hat' thread a few days ago. LOVE the corroboration between everyone.

Post 594 has the LBC looking like a super-sized version of the Japanese CAs while the pagoda just done above looks more like a true Japanese capital ship.

The more that I look at it and think about it, the more I remember that one of the main functions of the tall pagoda was to assist in range spotting on salvos for larger caliber guns. I think you should go with the pagoda version (check your email).

Could be do-able. Which in particular?

I have not looked at your numbers in this mod, so I am just offering general suggestions. P-47's were earmarked for ETO (rightfully so), and 38's were pretty labor intensive to build. Bringing in "several fighter units" is to open. Army squadrons? Marines? Marines would be easiest, just bump the Corsair production a bit. Army would probably be P-40 K and N's.

Just thinking, sorry I can't be more specific.

Long time ago, we 'adjusted' Allied fighter production, especially for '42 - F4F, P-38s, P-40s. There is the purchase system to add more airframes. Don't forget that PP have gone from 50 to 60 and now will be 75 to buy these 'toys.'

However, this new version will allow Japan to place 2nd gen George and Jack on CV/CVLs. To counter, I think more 2nd gen Corsairs. I would have to compare the numbers on P-47s before I would add more since they can be purchased now.

As John fondly remembers, the P-38s on sweeps destroyed his IJA fighters in mid to late 42.

Buying advanced aircraft out early from the off-map purchase system, as Michael demonstrated, can be terrible against the Japanese.

Good thinking Michael.

Tweaked Allied Fighter Production:

Navy:
F6F Hellcat +25/Month
F4U 2nd Gen Models +25/Month

Army:
P-40K/N +25/Month
P-38 +25/Month

Is that enough bump to help? Don't want to get carried away but also want a measured, useful increase.

My questions on the P-38s are they have a series of models that come in with an additional factory being added. How are you increasing by 25/month? Which model gets that?

If they are being produced at a set amount a month, I have bumped them.

I can't believe I'm going to say this (die hard AFB here), but that is more than enough

Again, I don't have your recent mod updated on my PC at home. My totally off the wall 'gut' feeling would be;

Navy:
F6F Hellcat +10/Month (Hellcat production so far appears suitable, according to AAR's)
F4U 2nd Gen Models +25/Month (To make up for the mentioned squadron increases)

Army:
P-40K/N +25/Month (To make up for the mentioned squadron increases)
P-38 +10/Month (To make up for the mentioned squadron increases, while acknowledging the increased difficulty in producing these air-frames).

I would be greatly interested to see what thoughts others have.

Michael has asked for the files. At heart he is an AFB and wants to compare the current numbers to Stock. Once he has had a chance to digest the numbers he'll Post here without fail.

LOVED your comment Lecivius! Bet that was hard to say as an AFB!

Hey John, Where's the Hurricane IId model?
Also, the 9th Aussie inf div seems to have an upgrade problem. When I click on the OOB button I get a Battalion size formation.

That is all....GP

I would leave it at 25. Mostly because the George can out fly anything the Allies have in 43. Look at the Maneuver numbers....GP

That is a bug from earlier versions that is now fixed. DON'T upgrade the unit.

Don't know about the Hurricane.

Between the Storms is COMPLETE. Am advancing it to 4.0 as well.

The family is going out for dinner and then heading to the Greeley Philharmonic this evening. The concert is 'A Night at the Movies.' We're gonna hear some rousing John Williams, James Horner, and others.

Will Post the files onto the website when we get home.

We'll have to watch out for bugs but I am certain we've nailed many of the troublesome ones with this update. Guess that means we created NEW ones...

Guys,

I didn't see the new version post on John's website, so I'll throw out what I would do in regards to Allied fighter production. My focus is on mid-42 to late-43 as that is the best part of game, IMO.

F4F-4 Wildcat: In stock = 45, now = 45, maybe to 60
F4U-1 Corsair (land-based): In stock = 30, now = 35, maybe to 45
F4U-1A Corsair (CV capable): In stock = 78, now = 78, maybe to 90
F6F-3 Hellcat: In stock = 130, now = 130, maybe to 150

Hurricane IIc: In stock = 36, now = 36, maybe to 45
Hurricane IId (FB): In stock = 16, now 16, no change (really is a dog as plane)

P-40E Warhawk: In stock = 35, now 45, maybe to 60
P-40K warhawk: In stock = 65, now = 75, maybe to 90
P-40N1 Warhawk (production now to 7/43): In stock = 70, now 75, leave it as you get in for 6 months vs 1
P-40N5 Warhawk: In stock = 55, now 55, no change

P-47D2 T-bolt: In stock = 56, now = 56, maybe to 60
P-47D25 T-bolt: In stock = 175, now = 65 (lower, but no dry period), maybe to 75
P-47N T-bolt: In stock = 100, now = 100, no change

P-38E Lightning: In stock = 24, now 24, maybe to 30 (replacement only)
P-38F Lightning: In stock = 40, now 10 (replacement) & 20 (factory), maybe to just size 30 factory
P-38G Lightning: in stock = +20 (factory), now = 40 (total), no change (30 + 20 = 50 with two factories)
P-38H Lightning: In stock = +20 (factory), now = 60 (total), no change (70 total vs 40 in stock)
P-38J Lightning: In stock = +20 (factory), now = 80 (total), no change (90 total)
P-38L lightning: In stock = +30 (factory), now = 110 (total), no change (120 total)

Don't forget that with these mod we use JuanG purchase system to get more airframes. PP have gone from 50 (stock) to 60 (now), and (75) new.

Comments??

Sorry Michael.

Since I hadn't published the Mods, it was easy to back into each and make the changes.

Notes:
1. Fixed the USN Mk10 mine so the SS ML can use them thru the end of the war.
2. Bumped Allied Fighter Production with the following planes: F4F-4, F4U-1, F6F-3, Hurricane IIc, P-40E, P-40K, P-40N1, and P-47D2.

Am now loading the files onto the website.

Still have to update the art folders for each side and will get to that later today.
