Hi all,

I re-uploaded a version of the pack which _should_ have all the scen files that have been included so far. (Not counting scens that have been released only on Steam). Please let us know if this resolves the issue.

Awesome thank you!

Wait you uploaded them to the main site or Steam? The one at the main site still says April 20.

What steam workshop community pack is the correct one to subscribe to? I cant seem to see all the same scenarios with them as what I found on warfaresims.com

*edit* Actually I just decided to try making a community folder inside the steam Commmand scenarios directory and it seemed to load fine with all the scenarios downloaded from warfareims.

Miguel Molina has released the updated version of the Command community scenario pack. The new release includes a breathtaking twenty new scenarios:

------------------------------------------------------------

Northern Fury #13.4 - Hammer (1994): Bart Gauvin's WW3 epic continues. You are commanding the USAF’s 336th Fighter Squadron – The Rocketeers, and your mission is to sever the only ground link through central Norway – the E6 Highway. Several elements of 25th Air Force will be supporting you, in particular SEAD and OCA support from 81st Tactical Fighter Wing and some of the heavies from Scotland, but this is your time to show what your F-15Es can do.

Northern Fury #12.4 - Sneak & Peek (1994): As the Soviet ground and air campaign moves south, consuming massive amounts of supplies and resources, the Rear Services group for Archangel Corps struggles to keep pace. For much of Norway’s coastline there is a single two-lane road connecting from the Arctic border near Murmansk all the way to Trondheim, over 2000 Km including an 8Km ferry SW of Narvik. In order to speed the delivery of supplies, coastal shipping is in fairly heavy usage. But that is vulnerable – and your job is to prove just how vulnerable that is.

One Ship, One Country (2017): The capabilities of the F-35 and LHA as a light carrier are to be put to the test in this wargame where a single amphibious ship is quickly diverted to attack a fictional nation comprised of highly skilled Aggressors. For many of the newly trained pilots, it will be their first big "battle". The hypothetical AEW-Osprey joins the Lightning II in the scenario. For the commander, it will also be a big battle-of how to deal with the 'rationing' of limited ammunition and many targets.

Confrontation near Tartus (2017): This scenario assumes the attack on Syria by U.S. forces in 2017 was quickly followed by another strike. By this time, however, Russia has a surface action group (SAG) in the area and it is not clear how they will respond.

Baltic Ballet (2019): The "Gotland Independence Front", a group suspiciously similar to Ukraine's "Little Green Men", has occupied the island of Gotland and its rich natural resources. How will the Swedish government respond?

Deter, Detect, Defend - CF-105 variant (1962): Chris Comars' already-classic nuclear air defence scenario gets spiced up with the addition of Canada's interceptor that never was, the mighty CF-105 Arrow. (And you thought TSR.2 buffs were bad)

Desperate Measures (2016): Bolivia and Chile are at war, and the Bolivian Air Force plots a desperation mission with its remaining strength.

String of Pearls - Lance the Boil (2020): Following months of negotiations, the Chinese military base in Sri Lanka is to be eliminated before it can be further developed. The USN Combined Task Force 151 (CTF-151) is ordered to destroy the facilities located at Port Hambantota on the southern coast. The attack must be a lean quick strike to send a firm message that any moves toward the Diego Garcia US base will not be tolerated.

Yankee Team (1966): Operation Rolling Thunder continues apace for the US Navy. For the next 24 hours, you will be overseeing air operations for Task Force 77, on station at Yankee Point and conducting strikes on North Vietnam. The targets for today, located in the USN's area of air operations at Route Packages 2, 3, 4 and 6B, have just been assigned with direct oversight from the White House. It is sure to be a long day.

Korean Crisis (1994): The Korean crisis of 1994 is a seldom studied incident the in timeline of US efforts to halt North Korea’s nuclear and ballistic missile programs. Realistically, the ’94 crisis was the starting point. In June of that year the United States found itself dangerously close to war with North Korea. It was becoming evident that North Korea was committed to developing nuclear weapons. The primary concern in Washington at the time was that any action the US might take could result in war on the Korean peninsula. The North Korean government had made it clear that even an act such as the implementation of sanctions would be regarded as an act of war. Tensions were rising and the possibility of war was quite real.

Duke of York Never Gives Up (1950): During the early days of the Korean crisis, the United Kingdom decided to send two large warships into the Sea of Okhtosk as an intelligence-gathering and show-of-force mission. They did not expect the Soviet Union to respond with open hostilities.

Khasab Helicopter Strike (2017): The turmoil of Middle Eastern politics has turned to Oman, and the UAE attempts a daring helicopter hop across the mountains to seize Khasab.

Cocos Islands (1978): The Cocos (Keeling) Islands in the Indian ocean occupy an important strategic location, allowing extension of regional force projection, surveillance and secure lines of communication. They are also located close to IO and South China Sea shipping lanes. This strategic importance is further boosted by the airfield that was constructed there in WWII. In 1978, due to the very poor treatment of the islanders and the feudal system of governance by the then owners, the Clunies-Ross family, the Australian government forced the islands owners to sell the island to them using the threat of compulsory acquisition. This scenario explores what may have happened if the disgruntled Clunies-Ross family instead sold the island to India.

Northern Fury #13.5 - Anvil (1994): Strike Fleet Atlantic (STRIKFLTLANT) is now in the second phase of its counter attack in the Atlantic. Fighting on Iceland continues but 2 MEF believes that they will have the island clear within the week. A massive NATO attack three days ago halted Soviet plans to seize Oslo but with Berlin and Copenhagen in Russian hands, the situation is not yet assured. Commander STRIKFLTLANT has set in motion a series of attacks designed set up the conditions for upcoming amphibious operations in central Norway – Operation Thor’s Lightning. This is one of those actions.

Arctic Tsunami (2019): Following a massive cyber attack, "Little Green Men" units feature prominently in erupting riots accross all three Baltic states. At the same time the Russian Northern fleet is performing a major sortie centered around its strategic missile submarines and the upgraded flagship Admiral Nakhimov. To counter this, the RN carrier Queen Elizabeth embarks with a squadron of F-35Bs and the shut-down airbase at Keflavik in Iceland is hastily reactivated.

Indian Fury #2 - Mozambique Madness (1994): The chaos of WW3 fought in Europe (as chronicled in the "Northern Fury" series) now spills over into the Indian Ocean. A depleted battle group steaming into the IO after a visit to Cape Town is caught in the emerging maelstrom. Indian Fury #3 – Socotra Scramble (1994): Commanding the USS Nimitz CVBG, you have been tasked to steam at maximum possible speed north to join the 6th Fleet in the Mediterranean. Things are "interesting" in the Indian Ocean but positively frantic in the Med. You will need to assemble your Battle Group, neutralize several layers of enemy defences, and proceed through restricted, hazard-laden waters to enter the Red Sea on your journey to the main theater of operations.

Blood Diamonds (2018): On August 2018 an alleged coup d'état was attempted in Angola against state institutions, including (but not limited to) the government and President Jose Eduardo dos Santos. The attempt was carried out by a faction within the Angolan Armed Forces that organized themselves as the FNLA (Frente Nacional de Libertação de Angola). On August 5th, the ruling MPLA party, considering its strong economic relations with China (Angola is China's second biggest trading partner in Africa), appealed to the Chinese government with the request to help stabilize the situation in country.

Between Ascension and San Carlos (1982): Argentina's navy was quite powerful by South America standards, but never tried to attack the British lines of communication in the Atlantic between Ascension Islands and the Falklands. This hypothetical scenario depicts an aggressive Argentine blue water navy formation trying to attack escorted Royal Navy replenishment ships, carrying much needed fuel and spares to the British task force to the South.

Between Ascension and San Carlos - The carrier duel (1982): This hypothetical scenario depicts aggressive moves by Argentinian task forces, including the Venticinco de Mayo carrier, trying to attack escorted Royal Navy replenishment ships, carrying much needed fuel and spares to the British task force to the South. The Royal Navy, discovering the plan, calls the Invincible carrier with escorts and a SSN for help from the south, trying to stop the Argentine formation and save the replenishment ships.

--------------------------------------

As always, the community scenario pack is available for download from the Command downloads page: http://www.warfaresims.com/?page_id=1876 . Most of the scenarios are also available for individual download on the Command workshop on Steam.

Not quite.

There are still a number of .ini files (all starting with a number or the letter 'A' or 'B') without matching .scen files.

You can copy over the missing files from pack 34 if you have a copy....

Yes I just noticed this myself in the new version released today. Several scenarios starting with A and B only have the .ini files

I hope this gets sorted soon.

What I've done is cut and pasted the entire new pack into my existing pack in the CMANO files, instructing windows to replace all of existing files with newly arrived ones. Hopefully that wont cause any conflicts

Seems to have been ok, just loaded one of the newly missing scenarios with my trick applied and there doesn't seem to be any issues loading.

I was REEEEEAAAALLLY looking forward to playing this scenario... aaaaaand it turns out you need CoW to play it.
Could the author be so kind as to turn off CoW-excluive content so we dirty non-DLC peasents can play it? Pretty please?

No, you are not doing anything wrong.

The Atlas ICBMs are not ready at scenario start.
They will appear on the map as they are ready to launch.

It takes about 15min to ready an Atlas missile, which was one of the reasons it was quickly replaced by Titan II and Minuteman.

On WarfareSims is new Community Scenario Pack 039 with 14 new scenarios. Thanks!

Miguel Molina has released the updated version of the Command community scenario pack. In addition to updated and refresh versions of existing works, the new release includes fourteen new scenarios:

STANAVFORLANT Gets To Work (1969): In the late 1960s the Soviet Union has become more aggressive in promoting the interests of its client states around the world. Reliable intelligence exists that equipment necessary for chemical and biological weapons is being moved from the Soviet Union to Iraq. A Russian task force headed for the Atlantic is centered around cargo and science vessels carrying equipment that will help Iraq develop a biological weapons program. The main NATO vessels in the area are the ships of STANAVFORLANT.

Forging On (1986): The Soviets have attempted a decidedly unconventional naval operation in a World War III, involving a landing on Thailand and a use of a VSTOL carrier. An outmatched Thai Air Force struggles to respond.

Four Ships Near Demon Point (1988): Two American and two Soviet ships find themselves stalking each other near the South Sandwich Islands, when abruptly World War III breaks out.

Karachi Blockade (2020): Following small clashes with Chinese and Pakistani navies in the Indian Ocean, India have sent a task-force in front of major Pakistani port of Karachi to stop any reinforcement and supplies from East and Muslim allies. Pakistani navy and air force are tasked to remove the Indian blockade.

Liancourt Rocks Conflict (2018): Japan and South Korea have disputed territorial rights of Liancourt Rocks for many years. The South Korean government suddenly declared that South Korea possesed the islets and started expanding military institutions in August 2018. That measure offended the Japanese government and the tension between the two countries grew up. The Japanese government commanded to occupy Liancourt Rocks right away, and the both countries opened military operations. However, UN Security Coucil has already begun to mediate between the two countries, so military operations are permitted only for 24 hours.

Senkaku Crisis (2010): A Chinese trawler which was operating in disputed waters collided with Japanese Coast Guard patrol boats near Senkaku Islands. The Japanese government commanded to capture the trowler and its crew. The measure offended the Chinese government harshly, and the tension between the two countries has grown. However, the UN Security council has already begun to mediate between the two countries, so military operations are permitted only for 12 hours.

Navaga Deterrence (1986): You are Captain of K-426, a Project 667A (Yankee-class) SSBN of the Red Banner Northern Fleet: your mission is to patrol on station and be ready to fire your sixteen R-27 liquid-fueled ballistic missiles on order from Moscow. However, your boat is noisy, your sonar is poor and you need to operate in America’s front yard because of the short-range of your not-at-all intercontinental-capable missiles.

Northern Fury #31 – Shield Of Faith (1994): Strike Fleet Atlantic (STRIKFLTLANT) is now in the second phase of its counter attack in the Atlantic. Fighting on Iceland continues but 2 MEF believes that they will have the island clear within the week. The scramble is on to reinforce Norway so that Oslo does not become the third NATO capital to fall in as many weeks. The Soviets have shown strong indications of a renewed attack towards Oslo and we need to reinforce southern Norway in time to stop them. Your job in this scenario will be to manage that reinforcement while protecting some very vulnerable HVU (High Value Units). Time and space are not your friends in this scenario, it’s a race against the clock and the geography surrounding the North Sea is much more limited then that of the North Atlantic, reducing reaction time significantly. Overcrowding of air bases is also an issue – lets hope this all stays nice and non-nuclear!

Northern Fury #42 – Blast From The Past (1994): Commander STRIKFLTLANT has set in motion a series of attacks designed set up the conditions for upcoming amphibious operations in central Norway. Tonight’s activity is aimed at deceiving him as to where that operation will be. You are commanding the USS Wisconsin (BB-64) Task Group and are charged with destroying several coastal fortress that were built by the Norwegians to fend off an attack from the sea. The Soviets are now manning these guns and have expended a reasonable amount of ammunition to become proficient with them. You also need to insert a Special Forces team undetected into the mountains near the Swedish border – but most of all you need to convince the Soviets that NATO is very interested in this area.

BALTAP – Break Through The Sound (1963): A Soviet Task Group of cruisers, destroyers and frigates tries to break out through The Sound (Oeresund) from the Baltic Sea to the North Sea.
The breakthrough of Soviet Naval Forces through Sound and Belts from the Baltic to North Sea was a standard scenario for Danish German navies during the cold war era.

BALTAP – Hunting In Skagerrak (1983): In 1983 a Soviet task group travelling from the Baltic to the North Sea should be stopped by Norwegian forces. Only two small subs and five MTBs are available against the heavily protected task group.

BALTAP – Minesweeping Kiel Bight (1983): The Soviets started an attack by surprise. They took Bornholm and their air force is currently attacking Zealand. No major naval surface combatants involved in this offensive so far. Heavy air raids are expected on all military bases in Northern Germany. Germany’s fleet in the Baltic has to be dislocated from their naval bases to designated CSPs in Kattegat north of Danish Islands. Your mission will be to evacuate the ships from their harbors through possible minefields and protect them from air raids and sub attacks.

BALTAP – Representatives Schnellbootlage – 10 years later (1980): In 1967 the Federal German Navy played a wargame to evaluate the cost-value ratio of the planned modernisation of “Zobel Class” (Type 142) FPB’s to “Type 142A” (upgrade with M-20 fire-control radar and DM2A1 wire-guided torpedos). This study also showed how the operational situation of FPBs in the Baltic was assesed by the experts of the Navy. This scenario plays 10 years later in February 1980 with the new and upgraded FPBs which were in service at the time.

Black Moon Sailing (2014): This scenario assumes that a Turkey, increasingly estranged from Israel, is openly supporting the Palestinians. The merchant vessels are believed to be used for more than humanitarian aid, however, and Israel has decided it must take action.

As always, the community scenario pack is available for download from the Command downloads page.

Hi,

I’ve just finished the scenario “Black Moon Sailing (2014)” released with the community-pack 39.
I’ve enjoyed it very much (and at first I missed the Black Moon till 4 hours were only left); but I’ve eventually achieved to capture the ship and bring it to Haifa, with a complete success.

I’ve noticed there was no scoring for this event, with Turkey remained neutral and no fight at all. Is it correct?

Andrea

Andrea

Same thing happened to me,
I was only radioed by the turkish FFG to open range, which I did putting my SAAR on a parallel course with Black Moon and that was the only threat I received from the Turks.
When the Black Moon arrived at Haifa the scenario ended with a score of zero.
Ok, the operation ended with success, no shots fired and the Black Moon seized, no need for a medal but at least a pat on the shoulder
