Hi. You'll see in the attached save there are two flights assigned to land strike missions that have their ingress and IP waypoints missing from their flight plans. This is causing them to believe they've already reached their IP's it seems and they're going at military speed right from take off when they should be going at cruise. The altitude in these examples isnt a problem because they have Lo-Lo-Lo mission profiles but if it was Hi-Lo-Hi then it would as they would burn too much fuel. Having said that, they're burning too much fuel still anyway as they're at Mil speed for the whole flight.

Thanks for looking.

Have dived into this one and I'm not able to reproduce it in the latest build. Probably fixed as part of the recent mission logics upgrade.

If you see this again, and are able to produce a savegame from before the aircraft actually took off, that'd be great.

Thanks again.

When i was using land strike missions in a scenario i had a load of different strikes set up with different munitions and i happened to notice it was just the ones with LGB loadouts that had this problem. I'll look into it again and see if the same happens then i'll post a save before they're airborne and just after. Thanks for looking into it.

Right well just went to test this again. The save is at the point after i've created land strike missions for all the aircraft in this scenario and just after one flight took off (forgot to save before the first flight took off- but theres like 7 others about to take off soon). The actual first problem i had with this was the second flight whose mission is to activate at 09:02 didnt bother taxiing to take off, no idea why. Then once all other flights were in the air there was just one that didnt have an ingress/IP waypoint and that was the flight with the Mavericks. Theres' another flight that doesnt take off and i found that this is due to the strike radius for their loadouts not being able to reach the target even though a message didnt appear telling me of this in the log. I deleted and created a new land strike mission for that flight that was originally supposed to activate and start taxiing at 09:02 and i set it a new activation time, this time it worked and it took off.

I played this again from the start of the save and on the second play, this time all flights that take off all had their proper flight plans, which included the flights with the Mavericks. This is a mystery to me why this only sometimes happens. The current build i'm playing with is 936.21 and as you couldnt reproduce this in build 972 then i'd imagine as you said that its been fixed. Thanks for looking anyway.

Wait, found out why that flight with the SKippers due to taxi at 09:02 didnt take off, i accidently assigned it an intercept mission and it mentions this in the log, i missed it. The log didnt mention about the other flight not having enough range for its loadout though. On the third play of this save this time all flights fine except for the one with mavs again, this one certainly seems to be a corrupt one.

Just doen a fourth playthrough of this and again the one flight with the mavs is lacking the ingress/IP. However this time the log tells me about the two flights that couldnt take off one due to being an intercept mission, and the other it says (for the HARM/CBU loadout) that although the target is within the max strike radius, the mission profile doesnt have enough fuel.

This is it:

09:06:00 - 09:06:00 - Mission Strike- AGM-88C/CBU-59, aircraft type F/A-18C Hornet with loadout AGM-88C HARM, CBU-59/B APAM, NITE Hawk Pod [FLIR] based on Blue Base cannot launch! Reason: Target is within maximum strike radius, however the currently selected flight profile requires too much fuel.

I dont understand why it says that the target is within max strike radius as it clearly isnt. For this loadout it is 280nm and the target is 291nm away.

Here is another save and this one is better. Its with all a/c added to strike missions and the scenario is yet to start. I've played this through about 7 times and the repeat offender here is the mission called CBU which has no ingress/IP for its land strike mission. However sometimes it works fine with a full flight plan, sometimes it doesnt. Its like its some random factor thing, like a dice roll and if it gets less than a certain number it takes off with no ingress/IP.

Strange.

Thanks, ran through both scenarios quite a few times and the missions seem to work fine here. So might work ok in the next version

I found the cause of the "Target is within maximum strike radius, however the currently selected flight profile requires too much fuel. " message and it has now been fixed.

Thanks Emsoy and well done for rectifying this. You've worked hard, so now chill out with a cup of tea and kick back to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z7x4VJBc8CY
