I really like playing with the KV-85 and SU-85 and T34/85 against the Tigers and Panthers. However random generated campaigns just aren't the same to me as the designd ones.

Anyone aware of a Russian campaign that starts around October of '43 and goes to '45 ish?

Thanks.

Not that starts in 43, but for another very good campaign that starts in June 41 worth a try is Russian Steel. Have you tried it?

http://www.tankhead.ca/SPWaW/rusteel.asp

Download the campaign then DL and install the 1.3 and 1.4 patches.

There is a 1.5 patch out but I'm not sure where it's hosted. Look in this link and you can get the email addy for Brad to get it.

Install it last.

Hi,

To my knowledge, no later war campaigns in Russia are available...

Russian Steel 1.5 runs from June 26, 1941 to Feb 11, 1943...

If Russian Steel 1.6 ever kicks off (maybe later this year), it will resume in March 1943 and progress until exhaustion overwhelms the designer...

Cheers,

Brad

Well, if I can ever break free of my work duties I have 2 scenarios mostly done and 2 partial done in a 9 scenario campaign covering Bagration along the Vitebsk - Kaunas axis of advance. I also have a campaign in the works with the Soviets vs. the Americans if you want to try your hand with T34/85's and IS-2/3 vs. Pershings and Shermans. Maybe one day I'll get to finish these.

Thanks for the tips, guys. I downloaded Russian Steel and woowwee the first battle at Dubno is one tough sob. Should be fun though to see it progress slowly and get those guys the experience and better equipment to fight the Krauts. It'd be great if RS 1.6 did add scenes from '43 to '45 but I understand if not, this is one huge campaign.

Tequila,

Send me your email and I will send you RS 1.5 - you will encounter difficulties with RS 1.4...
