When I attempt to run the current build (972.2), roughly every 8 seconds regardless of what I'm doing or not doing in the game (sitting on the start menu, loading a scenario, playing a scenario), the game becomes unresponsive for at least several seconds. The title bar displays "(Not Responding)", and Task Manager shows the game is using between 25% and 30% of the CPU during the unresponsive time.

My system specs are the same as always:

- Intel i5-6600K processor
- 16 GB RAM
- 500 GB Samsung 850 Evo M.2 SSD
- GeForce GTX 960 (4 GB version)
- Windows 10 Creator's Edition (64-bit)
- All drivers current

I haven't seen this in any scenarios. Have you looked at Task Manager to see if another app is eating CPU or HD cycles?

Nothing else is eating CPU or HD cycles, not even McAfee.

Could be a Steam vs Matrix issue. I'm running via Steam.

If you switch back to the previous version, will that fix it?

Here is another one who is getting same issue - After applying new patch files, In my case, speed of responses in DB viewer gets significantly slower.

The title bar displays 'Not responding' messages appear quite more frequent than before.

(I just wanted to say happy to find someone else getting same problem - comradeship? Anyway)

- Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU G620 @ 2.60GHz

- 2 GB RAM

- 500 GB - HDD

- Intel(R) HD Graphics Family

- Win 7 (32-bit)

My desktop is old one, but I'm reporting you guys because this one seems to be unexpected problem.

Nope. My only platform is the package purchased from Matrix game site.

Sorry about the delay, but to answer the questions:

- Going back to 1.12 does alleviate the issue.
- I do have subscriptions to the community packs on Steam.

Q for peacekeeper118 - What antivirus/firewall are you running? I'm running McAfee.

Hi Guys

Reason why D brought this up is the workshop had an issue at some point where it was constantly writing a file which slowed down the game tremendously.

Could you delete your workshop files to see if that is the issue?

Thanks

Mike

Wait one on that.

Deleting/unsubscribing the workshop files seems to have done the trick.

Edit 1 - Resubscribing to the latest Community Pack (37) reintroduces a short, repetitive spike in CPU cycles, though no noticeable lag. I think the length of unresponsiveness is relative to the number of Steam workshop files one is subscribed to, as I had been subscribed to all the Community Pack releases. Let me see if simply unsubscribing to the workshop and not deleting the files has an impact.

Thanks Eggstor!

Peacekeeper can you give it a shot?

Mike

I think we got it - it's subscriptions to the Steam Workshop that's causing the CPU cycle spike/unresponsiveness. Continuing my test, I unsubscribed to the latest Community Pack, keeping the files, and the CPU cycle spikes are gone again.

Yeah I'm using Malwarebytes and Appcheck, but these wouldn't cause because I use Razor Cortex to boost Sim's processes (Cortex usually shut down vaccines - as I remember)

Sorry for inaccurate report because I'm at reading room now and writing threads with laptops I rent.

Good. Deleted steam workshop folder, and overall simulator performances are restored as before.

But this is strange - Maybe problem is related with scenario save&load mechanism? No matter of platform I use(Steam or Matrix)?

When you deleted the Steam workshop folder, was it empty or did it have files?

Also deleted my Steam Workshop save folder. Helped my performance as well. Before game was lagging a bit, but still responsive.
