Hey guys. I'm a newbie to this game and genre. Very cool and super immersive! One question. How in the world do you turn smoke off? A number of times I have tried to lay down airstrikes, artillery and plain old AP. No joy...just smoke. Ideas?

I figured it out. When I purchased the game, especially with airstrikes, it painted the target with crosshairs. Now with the new update it is smoke. My bad.

You are using MouseMan's 3D mod, right? Yes, that one uses a smoke signal to indicate a plotted arty strike. Out of the box you should see Crosshairs, right?

Yes I am using Maus Mans mod in 3D. I have to tell you, this game is compelling. I played Avalon Hill games back in the day and forgot what I had been missing.

I haven't opened the AH boxes for some time, I mostly play Lock'n Loads Nations at War (WW2) and World at War (WW3) platoon size tactical games nowadays.

The new 2D Zoom-in View with CSME 2.0 makes this even a better "boardgame experience" imho. Not too long to wait for that anymore, with fingers crossed of course
