I am.

Think that Big B will see my creation of at least one Mar or April 1, 1942 campaign. Would love to let a player begin with the DEI taken and all sorts of options available. Biggest thought is to set it March 1, 1942 so the Japanese player can still have a month of the invasion bonus.

For both of you guys, I am looking for things over-looked by our designing.

Looking for questions like:
1. It would be better to have this here.
2. WHY is that there?
3. What on gawds greem earth were you thinking in doing this???

As a late thought, I intend to shift the two US CV TFs. With the reinforcements and additions to the CenPac bases as well as SoPac and NoPac bases, it would probably make much more sense to have Enterprise and Lexington in slightly different locations. Would be open to ideas here...

Falken: Look to the Marianas for a big difference. We have Combined Fleet HQ out there as a forward base for the fleet. LOTS of stuff there.

Kitakami: Those bases mentioned above need to be examined. You might be able to do more there then historically possible. Also make sure you go DEEP South due to the increased French presense and reinforced Aussie/New Zealand Fleets.

Hi John 3rd,

Ok,.. here's one.

TF 93,94,95 which is pre-setup to land troops for Chumphon, Nakkorn and Prachuab, and which all have first turn movement bonus, have their normal troops actually located at Saigon and Battambang.

This is not a problem per se, but will slow me down in getting those troops where they need to go. I'm just wondering if the 3 TFs mentioned above were not reserved for something else i'm not seeing. I could use it for other types of amph maneuvers, but it would deviate from normal first move procedures.

Like I said, not a big deal, but not sure what was intended for the TFs....

Ok...

I compared the bases on this scenario with those on scenario 1, and took a look at the changes(at least the ones I found). The unit additions are interesting, though not overpowering. Likewise with the fortification increases. They are there, but not too much, I think. Mostly defensive changes, which I think is right on the nose.

Scouting Force, on the other hand, has nothing defensive about it. Combined with the additional Oz and Kiwi ships, it can become a nice little TF. Love it!

Playing your RA 7.9 now in June 43 as allies PBEM 2 day turns

A few questions, as I have only played stock scn 2 as Japan before.

The George is appearing on Jap CV - don't mind but is that WAD? Seems like there can be no real allied offensive in 43?? Quite risky...
Allied plane production seems quite low is all that ok.
There are almost NO British replacement pilots.
Allied fighter performance seems lower than in stock is that WAD
Should allied withdrawls have been turned off in this mod - we have it on I think that is a mistake.
Allied subs are almost 0 effectiveness even in June 43 - when do the dud TT get fixed? Is that a feature of this mod or do I just wait. Jap subs seem to hit everything.
There are so many restricted allied Combat units and so few PP, actually I have been able to do nothing in Burma as almost all units are R. We have the restricted rule that R units must transfer to move over borders - assume that is what you intended.

Please advise on these few general questions - I can send a turn if you like other wise enjoying the scn certainly id different than stock.eyer

Regards
Michael

Hi Cavalry.

1. If he has George in that early, that would be over 16 months from when it should appear. WOW. He must have spent a fortune to bring it forward. Doesn't help you but I find that amazing to have it so early. We have adjusted it backwards in BTS and BTSL and will in RA. Doesn't help you in this version though.

2. Production was added to in 7.9. I cannot remember. You do have the off-map purchase option--RIGHT?

3. Pilots pools were slightly modified but up and not down.

4. Allied Fighters are stock from a DaBabes point of view.

5. Have never messed with Brit Withdrawals.

6. Your Torps SHOULD be rocking...

7. Political Points are 50 (I think) in your version of RA. We've slightly bumped them up in the newest versions of BTS/BTSL.

Not much help but those are your answers...

Who are you playing?

comments based on the current version of the mod (BTSL 4.5)and without doing any math......

1) is this because the N1K2-A George upgrades from the Zero - hence you can start researching it from the getgo by converting fully built A6M2 factories directly to the George?

2) from a jap economic point of view having the George upgrade from the Zero would seem to make the Sam largely redundant (as you can get the George so much quicker) - also there seems no reason to research the N1K1-J George as it can be bypassed by going the Zero route

That change from ZERO to GEORGE should have been changed. Will check it out. You are speaking on the upgrade path--correct?

I'll look for you. I know that 4.3 was a working version as we were polishing the release variant. That is probably the issue. You should have 4.5 as the final release version.

very odd - i have just re-downloaded SCN60 from your website and it still comes up with version 4.3 and the George is still in the upgrade path

not sure if this matters but if i mouse-over the 4.5 download arrow it seems to point to a SCN57 folder even though the SCN files in the download are SCN60

edit : if it helps the files in my download are mostly dated 6th October, with a couple 1st October

-----------

on a different note i assume your comment about troop withdrawals in post #761 means that the game should be played with "withdrawals allowed"

cheers

Yes, that upgrade is still there. Had not noticed (playing the Allies for a change of pace). Any chance that can get changed and applied in ongoing games?

There is nothing wrong with BTS. I did move the LEX and ENT TFs southward to better reflect the changes in the Mods for the Allies. Now BTS 4.6.

Found it. I did not change the upgrade path on ZERO to dead-end at M5 in BTSL. STUPID!

Apologize guys.

Have a PTO Meeting to go to and then I'll update the Mods on the site.

Did the same as BTS--Moved ENT and LEX TF positions and the Mod is now 4.6.

Also i have no pic for the J6M1

The M3 gets its own Daitai and you can shift others over to it. It is an independent aircraft.

Will fix the picture.
