Status: offline 		The French are pretty much done for in France. Now they pin their hopes on North Africa. As for the British in France, the plan is too hold Brest at all costs and hammer the Germans with air power as it appears I'm uncontested in the Air.

The Germans and Italians continue to build up on the borders of the Soviet Union. We do not think this has to be a precursor to an attack, but we are well aware it might be. The Red Army has not been resting and our defenses are in good order. The Soviet Economy is recovered from the neglect of the earlier days and its vigor can be harnessed to war making if necessary.

The Soviet Union wants its friends, and potential enemies, to know we are awake. We will be steadfast in defense of the Motherland, home of the peoples hope for a better future.

Status: offline 		Not much happening between China and Japan. China definitely turned down our request for a new world view so we will continue fighting....capturing one small area (Hex) at a time means a very LONG war.

Status: offline 		France is still on the ropes, but hopefully there is hope in North Africa. The RAF scored another victory against the Luftwaffe during our bombing raid on Lillie. British forces continue to hold in Brest but for how long. So far the RAF rule the skies!

The Soviet Union continues to prepare for a possible conflict with Germany. Three of their "panzer divisions" are on our border in Bialystok. The Soviet does not have a division like these, but we do have "tank corps" and we do not consider ours a defensive asset. We suspect that the Germans think of their armor as an offensive asset also, which means we do not see their presence as a desirable change.

The Comintern deeply regrets the German takeover in Spain.

The Reich would like to assure the Russian's that the appearance of the Panzer Corps is just to secure the city. There are no offensive intentions.

The Soviet Union continues to bring the armed forces to a state of readiness. We are looking forward to 1941 and some new aircraft we have nearing production. The Luftwaffe has a technical edge on us and we need to bring our aircraft up to snuff.

We are more confident on the ground where our mechanized formations are filling out.

Status: offline 		Japan and China seem to be in a stalemate. If either side gets aid they will win. It does not look good for the Japanese. As everyone seems to hate them.

The USSR is well aware of the German and Italian presence on our borders. A powerful force of Bf-109Es has been sighted in the skies above Warsaw.

We are well aware of the strength the Axis can throw at the USSR, but we have not been sleeping.

The Soviet Union is unhappy with the powerful armored forces mustered by Italy on the Turkish border.

There can be no reason for these concentrations except aggression.

Status: offline 		Japan has some small success against China....Captured Canton and Hanoi (from China). Not sure if I'll be able to hold onto Canton but it denies China that production for however many turns I hold onto it. In the Northern area China seems to be attacking...So moving troops to the area. So am using my artillery to cause what loses I can inflict upon them...Maybe sometime they would be willing to talk ceasefire...but I don't really expect that.

It is silly to talk about the intentions of the Axis. We have no idea of their plans, but we see their capabilities. We are calling out to other nations to ally with us in a coalition.

The Red Army is not weak, but if Germany and Italy see other nations oppose their aggression it may deter them.

The USSR considers peace fragile as the Germans have so much artillery the wind across the barrels plays tunes at night! It is like a huge organ. You can hear them in Minsk.

Germany should not attack, but who knows what imperatives drive them.

The USSR welcomes the Tunisian Soviet to the fold.

PS : @Juergen (USA) I forgot to greet you with a message. Please accept the fraternity of the Soviet people. We understand the constraints placed upon your nation by representative democracy and will check with you as times passes.

Status: offline 		I'm too involved in my own little war against China to be interested in joining a larger war. Captured some more Chinese territory but the Chinese in Northern China are doing a good job of delaying and stopping any advances I make. Moving more troops into the area and hope to take the offensive back soon.

Really tired after my eclipse tour but saw great but too short eclipse. Hope to be back to full gaming mode soon.

The Soviet Union sees massive German and Italian forces on her western borders. Only a failure of memory could lead to war. The Great War was horrible enough, why would nations enter into another.

The Soviet Union does not understand the diplomacy of the United States. We think this must result in tectonic shifts in the alliance landscape.

The methodical attacks against the Chinese people have gotten the attention of the Politburo. China is fruitful ground for Communism, and we do not look with favor on the Japanese Empire expanding at Chinese expense. Red Army resources are moving east to support the Chinese.

The USSR is now at peace with Germany and we will be normalizing the border between our nations.
