Hay there, Just curious, I've been playing lately and just can't seem to get too deep into scenario let alone finish it. This is due on part of my incompitance as a decent commander =cP But that incompitance, if you will, comes from inexperience and I was curious if there were, besides the tutorial scenarios, any decent easier, smaller scale engagements to get me started? Any help is much appreciated! Cheers ~Chris

Hello, Both 'A Marine moment' and 'Taking teutzpunkte 11' are great small sized scenarios. 'Witmanns Gamble' and 'Jungle Rats' are a bit bigger but not much and are great fun to play.

Also, the Tulagi campaign is good, small, and short. Don't confuse that with easy though.

I have two suggestions for you. First, you might consider a demotion. Go to the headquarters screen and assigning some or most of your force to computer control. You can play the role of a smaller unit commander, while the watching the computer move some of your troops. That idea was posted in the forum a few weeks ago. Second, I can recommend a good "training" scenerio: King of the Hill. If you want an easy win, play it as the Germans. You can either sit back and shred the Americans as they try to take your hill, or pull some men out of the line and go after them. Then try it as the Americans, with the benefit of knowing the German strength and positions. It will still be a great challenge. I though to another one. Make your own battle on a small random map. You can set the battle points on the preferences screen. Have fun. :p

I did see at least one scenario that was only five turns long. I agree with you about the need for short and simple scenarios. I can at minimum get a draw out of most scenarios that I play against the computer. I like the big scenarios, but they can be a bit tedious sometimes. Keep it up. The more you learn about the game, the more you realize you need to learn more!!! If you play chess then you'll know what I mean.

Another thing you can do is set both sides to "Computer" and watch what happens. Then pick a side and try it yourself. Many scenario designers set it up to work as the original troops moved. You may want to turn off "opfire" before you start the Computer vs Computer scenario. Figmo
