Just a heads up. This campaign designed by Samuel Mudd is severely flawed. It's a 121 Turn PO either side. I just mowed through token resistance as the British against weak Italians (ok that part made historical sense) but an almost non existent Rommel, and won the Campaign by December 6, 1940, on Turn 13. No Challenge at all as Single Player, for a Scenario that is supposed to be 121 Turns.

I never played that scenario so I am just talking out loud with you. How did you win by turn 13? Is it taking objective towns that are the victory conditions ?
And, didn't Rommel not get there historically until Feb. 41 ? So I guess maybe DAK wasn't there yet when you trounced the scenario.

I had a similar experience a few weeks ago playing this scenario in TOAW 3. Completely crushed everything the Italians had and reached the end of the map at El Agheila very easily.

As I saw this thread I have just started another game in the Italian side, and seems they get 0 supplies at the frontlines. Their only supply point is in the Western border of the map in an exclusion area. Maybe this precludes any supplies to flow. Perhaps adding supply points in Tobruk and Benghasi would solve the issue.

My British Forces never even made it as far as El Agheila. They were on the outskirts of Mersa Metruh on turn 13, when the message of British Victory popped up. The Designer of the scenario mentions in the description that all kinds of events and messages may pop up during the scenario, and he seems to have gone to great lengths to make his scenario into a long and interesting Campaign. But based on my game experience, his scenario was never properly tested as a Single Player against a PO, at least not if the Player chooses to be British. There just isn't enough Italian resistance to make the game interesting, or last until serious German reinforcements arrive.

Thanks for the reply guys. It seems there is something afoot, I have perused the scenario and don't see anything that outwardly shouts foulness. Perhaps this is one that could use a refreshing after so many years. I am up for it and can handle the Editor if need be, but I would need some guidance in the campaign aspects as I have not extensive knowledge in the Desert War. If you guys are up to it, keep it in mind for something to tackle later, as I am currently too busy.

If you run a scenario in computer vs computer mode for a time, you can check on it every 10 turns or so to see if something is out of whack before you start a long player vs PO game and invest all that time. Of course this assumes there is a PO for both sides.
