I have TOAW III installed. Can I install TOAW IV and still have III on my computer? Or should I remove III?

Yes you can have both installed they will not "collide".

No it's fine to have both. They will both still work. Actually I have both running right now as I am converting some scenarios from III to IV.

Can someone point me to a thread that gives the difference between III and IV? I hate to think that I am paying $40 for a GUI upgrade!

Thanks

For what I know, there is the new Battlefield Timestamps system, improved Logistics and improved Naval Warfare. Certainly more, but that's the ones I'm aware of (unfortunately I never played TOAW III so can't help you more, sorry ;))
You can find more infos here :
Battlefield Timestamps
Supply enhancement
Naval Warfare

Once you use the new GUI your going to be willing to pay a lot more than $40 for it.

There is a host of changes in the game itself that makes it worth it besides the new UI. I remember after every canceled attack and bombardment missions how I hated having to reset deployments back to original, and now it is automatic (deployment recovery). That alone was enough for me, but naval, bts, extended supply, range setting, new bridge destruction rule, multiple added editor parameters (like move bias) etc., etc...

Bottom line, it is well worth it.

Yea, forgot that jewel. How could one have lived without it on large scenarios in TOAW III is beyond me now, but I know I did, somehow. My 'J' key face is already starting to fade...
