History Recovered: The Custer Battlefield Archeological Survey of 1984

I believe this is the first documentary on the Archeological Survey of the Little Bighorn Battlefield that pinpointed the action.

Interesting animation. Custer had bad intell and was over confident. Not to mention that he split up his forces just a little to much....GP

Since the battlefield turned out to be right next to the highway exit I couldn't resist interrupting my cross-country migration to visit it this past summer. Great self-tour with lots of markers showing where individual/groups of soldiers/warriors fell. Amazing how large that village was. Never knew that Benteen and Reno's men were besieged on their little hilltop until the next day after Custer got wiped out.

There is a website by a college called "famous trials." The Reno inquiry is on there. It is something to read the first person testimony by those who served in that battle and Gen. Terry's XO was the first to discover the area where Custer was found. His description of when he rode across that field and what he saw is very compelling. The whole inquiry makes for very interesting reading. Wyatt Earp's trial is there and the transcripts of Galileo's trial by the catholic church for suggesting the world is round is there as well.

Everybody, including the church, knew the Earth was spherical (round), the controversy was about heliocentrism.

Right! Everyone knew that Gorncentrism made a lot more sense!

Is there a First High Church of the Gorn?
Jedi-ism is recognized as a religion in some countries, so why not Gornism?

Found http://www.famous-trials.com/, it has http://www.famous-trials.com/galileotrial but I could not find Reno inquiry.

Found it at The Library of Congress https://www.loc.gov/rr/frd/Military_Law/Reno_court_inquiry.html reproduced as searchable text and is available in a single PDF document (86.62 MB)

Well I think if you could elevate high enough to see the curvature you would see that the boobies are not flat, although her tummy comes pretty close.
Note that even the proto-gorn is looking for evidence of roundness in nature.
