Hey all, I am wondering whether the Custom Graphics folder is necessary in the game or if it is a hold-over from TOAW3. I've put all the scenarios from the folder into other folders and tested them and there does not appear to be an issue.

Necessary only if you use special modded graphics and/or .EQP files for a particular scenario. Then you should have specific scenario folders dumped there.

I'm not sure it's necessary even in that case though, the Antietam 1862 scenario has it's own .eqp and .col files and they are all in the Pre-WW1 folder.

That's correct, but see what you get when you delete/rename the Antietam folder in the GraphicsOverride... ;) Look closely, you will see that the custom counters are there, etc.

Just to be sure we're on the same page, I'm asking about the Custom Graphics Scenario folder at The Operational Art of War IV\Scenarios\Custom Graphics, not the GraphicsOverride folder at The Operational Art of War IV\Graphics Override.

Ach so, staatsminister. Well, it's being treated just like an other scenario folder. You can dump the WW1 scenarios from there to the WW1 folder, the Nimjwegen into WW2 - West Front... like I said, it's just a scenario folder.

How's Brigitte Nyborg btw?

I don't watch any Danish TV, I was raised in Canada so Jeg taler lidt dansk. I'm working on learning the language though. :P

That leaves a question. Are we meant to do anything to get the 'custom graphics' to show in the scenarios in the 'custom graphics' folder, or if you just click on them they appear already with custom graphics? I'm stupid, of course, but I haven't noticed any custom graphics in any of those scenarios....

Well I know for a fact that the Battle of Adua 1896 scenario has custom terrain, so for me at least there was no extra step required, it loads up like any other scenario with custom terrain tiles. The weird thing about it is that I've combed through the Custom Graphics folder scenarios and their associated Graphics Override folders and I haven't found any files or patterns that are unique to them. That is why I have no idea what the purpose of the folder is.

I'm with KaiserMaulwurf on this one. There does not appear to be any valid reason for a custom graphics scenario folder. I have moved some custom graphics scenarios to their correct geographical/historical time frame folders and they work fine (as long as the graphics overide folder name is correct).
