So, I think it is fair to give you this heads up: During the morning hours of December 6th, several large Japanese warships were spotted east of Mindanao, heading south. The B17 crew who saw them report that one or more might be CVs, it was difficult to determine however, and contact was lost because of bad weather. A Dutch naval search plane operating in the Celebes Sea area was lost later during the afternoon. No sign of the crew and no distress call was made. Also, a civilian cargo ship sent a distress call from the area that was interrupted and contact could not be reestablished. Due to this information, I think it is fair to allow you to give orders to any allied forces at sea, and to change any CAP-setting you want in the NEI area.
