I will be getting a new computer in weeks, so Amazon says. Can I buy the downloaded version of the games now to take advantage of the sale price but not download them for a few weeks?

yes, as the download link will last, and if it is longer, you can always access the download again from your account page in the support section once you have logged in, at any time, even years
