Look at the graphic in this post. You can see the AI file date for 100 is newer than 33. Likewise the stock AI for Scen 1 is from 2010 (see the dates in post #1). The AI for 100 is MUCH more recent.

Thank's, I know it is newer, but also for allied AI or only for JAP AI?

As i understood Andy he only adapted the part for JAP AI (player is allied) in sceario 100 (HIs answer was "Yes its plaable but AI not updated yet).... But maybe i'm wrong, english is not my native language.....

I honestly don't see where you got that idea. Nothing in this thread (that I could find) indicates that only only side had it's AI updated. Only one variant, yes, but nothing about "Japan only"

Currently running revised Allied Ironman Tier 1 Scenario 10 (see post #3) as (A) on Dec 25th 1941.
(J)Ironman has done a couple of things that have caused concern. Issues:

1. High air losses: (J)477, (A)324 Most have come from unrelenting (J) bombing of Rangoon.
Moved AVG and a few Buffaloes to Rangoon and now have 145 Kills at Rangoon.

2. Suicide Singapore Minelayers: (J)MLTF tried to mine Singapore and was "repulsed" by some
(A)ML on ASW Patrol. (J) Minelayers sunk in the AM by (A)LBA Torp Bombers.

Thanks to Andy for all the hours on this project.

-Mark

Scen 100, Allies

Seems Pearl Harbor on Dec 7, 1941, has some ships that were not present there during the Japanese attack.

AV Wright
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Wright_(AV-1)#World_War_II,_1941

World War II, 1941
Wright departed Pearl Harbor on 20 November, bound for Wake Island, arrived at that advanced base on the 28th, and landed Comdr. "Spiv" Winfield S. Cunningham, who took command of the naval activities on the vulnerable isle, Major James "Jimmy" Patrick Sinnot Deveraux, USMC and Lt. Col Walter L.J. Bayler, USMC. Other passengers who went ashore from the seaplane tender included asphalt technicians, other construction workers, and other Marine Corps officers. The ship also delivered 63,000 gallons of gasoline to Wake's storage tanks before setting course for Midway. There, she delivered a cargo that included ammunition and disembarked passengers that included men reporting for duty at the NAS and with other Marine Corps ground units. Then, with military and civilian passengers embarked, Wright departed Midway on 4 December and headed for Pearl Harbor. While en route, she received the electrifying news that the Japanese had attacked Pearl Harbor on the morning of 7 December. Word of the attack arrived shortly after 0800 that day, and Wright cleared for action and manned her battle stations. Fortunately for her, she never crossed the path of the Japanese striking force. After reaching Pearl Harbor the day after the Japanese attack, Wright got underway on 19 December to transport 126 Marines of the 4th Defense Battalion, with their gear, to Midway. She returned to Pearl Harbor on the day after Christmas with 205 civilians embarked.

AK Alchiba
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Alchiba_(AKA-6)

1941
Alchiba was assigned to the Naval Transportation Service and sailed to Charleston, South Carolina, for shakedown training. She then carried out training exercises along the East Coast through early October and sailed — via Quonset Point, Rhode Island — for Halifax, Nova Scotia, to take on cargo and personnel for transportation to Iceland. She departed Halifax on 22 October in convoy HX 156 and reached Reykjavík, Iceland, on 30 November. The vessel discharged cargo there before sailing back to the United States. She reached New York City on 26 December, and was briefly drydocked there for repairs.

AG Aries
http://www.shipscribe.com/usnaux/ww1/ships/ak51.htm

USS Aries, a 1881 ton (light) displacement freighter, was completed at Duluth, Minnesota, in August 1918 as S.S. Lake Geneva. She served as USS Lake Geneva (ID # 4215-B) from September 1918 to July 1919, carrying coal from the United Kingdom to France, then reverted to merchant service and operated on the Great Lakes as S.S. John J. O'Hagan from 1925 to 1941.
The other two, AG-37 and AG-38 (USS Matinicus), were ordered converted to cargo ships (AK 51 and AK-52) for the Naval Transportation Service and were renamed Aries and Gemini. Aries completed conversion to a cargo ship -- including installation of two pairs of kingposts to handle cargo -- at East Boston, Massachusetts, in May 19

AE Mauna Loa
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Mauna_Loa_(AE-8)
USS Mauna Loa (AE-8) was laid down by Tampa Shipbuilding Co., Tampa, Fla., 10 December 1942; launched 14 April 1943; sponsored by Mrs. Robert E. Friend; and commissioned 27 October 1943, Comdr. George D. Martin in command. She is named after Mauna Loa, a large shield volcano on the Island of Hawaii.

Found another one:

xAP St. Mihiel
https://www.history.navy.mil/research/histories/ship-histories/danfs/s/st-mihiel.html

Then transferred to the Navy, she was commissioned as St. Mihiel (AP-32) on 22 July 1941, Comdr. Edward B. Rodgers in command.

Having operated as a transport between the west coast and Alaska, with occasional runs to Hawaii, prior to her transfer to the Navy, St. Mihiel performed the same duty after commissioning. Into 1943, she called regularly at ports on mainland Alaska and in the eastern Aleutians. In May 1943, she participated in the occupation of Attu; then resumed more routine transport duties.

@ Andy

SCENARIO 100 I WILL PM YOU THE LOCATION OF SAVEFILES AND OPREPS AND COMBAT REPS IN DROPBOX

I played Japan, computer obviously was ABDA

I am a noob but here is my feedback:

1) No fortress Palembang
Not enough Allied forces in Palembang. I was rather slow and comp did not reinforce Palembang much. Way to easy to invade Palembang VERY late (February) and win in one day battle.

2) Allies are extremely not aggressive.
As far as I can tell (I did not peek at computer, no cheating) they are doing "sir robin" withdrawal in DEI.

3) I did not bother invading Pacific Islands (am a noob ) so no idea if AI was programmed to strike back if I went to any Pacific Islands like Wake, Ocean ISland, or even Noumea.

4) Port Moresby was reinforced with the usual - Army DB squadron, some Hudsons, and they are practicing bombing my EMPTY bases (Which I grabbed using SNLF fragment and withdrew) evey day. No idea of LCU in Moresby at this time (again, am a noob).

5) Comp made a stand in Batavia, but it is not good terrain to defend. Two Japanese divisions took it in two days.

6) Shockingly, a 2 BB, some CA and DD escorts showed up at Soerabaja, and I had an anxious moment as KB was 2 hexes away from it.
Shockingly, they did not sortie to attack KB nearby, but sailed to Semarang (or tried to sail there from Soerabaja) as I have 2 divisions plus armor huge invasion fleet unloading there.

KB massacred them.

Interestingly, it looked that Allied TF teleported in somehow, no idea where they came from.
It could be my atrocious search (again, could be me).

7) China.
Usual, clearing up the center,
Allied comp made a stand in Loyang and Chengchow, which is OK.
What is not OK is they allowed me to encircle them, making it a huge kessel. Many Chinese corps totally wiped out.

In south, Amoy and Foochow are chinese offensives every AI match I played as japan. AI always does this.
Kinda surprising at first, and playing on hard they have staying power.

Ichang - they stay in clear terrain, Andy - might want to either do an offensive on Ichang to make japanese life exciting or move them the heck out of clear terrain.

8) Singapore - everything withdraws there, fortress Singapore.
Am OK with that

9) PHI - Manile and Clark defended, then into Bataan. Great!
Playing on hard is masochism as Bataan defenders do not starve nor does overstacking seem to affect the AI.
I think I might play on normal vs AI as this is simply ridiculous.

10) I put JAAF, air HQ (for torps) and G4M on Catanduanes and Jolo ASAP when game began, and these planes have killed whole fleets of Allied merchantmen.
It is March 1942 and they are STILL killing Allied AK and AP.

11) Deep DEI, on the way to Darwin, standard AI, Ambon is a fortress, and so is Kendari.
Might want to reinforce them to give Japanese a nasty surprise.

12) Burma - all brits moved to Sittang Bridge while Rangoon only has 10K troops.
Obvious thing is to naval invade Rangoon and cut them off.

Hey guys, I'd like to start new full campaign vs. IJ AI with DaBabes Lite A scenario.

Updated AI files for scen 1 should work, since only plane/ship/weapon etc. data is changed, not units, IIRC. So what files should I copy to that scenario to use updated AI?

Sardaukar,

Kull has made a detailed consolidated thread on getting the updates in order with updated AI script files etc.

http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4257473

Think the above thread should answer your queries.

Was the Allied AI ever updated for this? Looks like Andy only got around to updating the Japanese AI? Oh well...Also does not look like it will work with the DaBabes Lite Extended Map Scen 26 as he says it is for standard map only?

The extended map has only a handful of new bases. The AI will not have scripts for taking these bases, but will not break your gameplay in any way.

Scen 100, Allies, turn3

I get the following error message in Tracker. The LCU in questions are the two late-war Soviet Supply Convoys. The devices in question are Soviet aircraft, which in the Editor have ID pattern of 36x-37x. If you find the two convoys in Locations file in the Editor, the aircraft sit in the convoy's Weapon slots and have now an extra digit in front of their ID. Thus ID 372 becomes ID 2372 etc. Does that mean the convoys will arrive without dumping anything into the Soviet aircraft pool?

EDIT: Those aircraft in the Convoys are treated as devices, so their higher ID makes sense, yet my Device list in Tracker/Editor only cover devices numbered 1-1999. There are no Devices present anywhere with IDs higher than 1999.

Please help, Obi Wan...

Aircraft have 2000 added to their id number so they do not conflict with the devices that are in the 1-1999 range.
Tracker does not understand that.

Mmmm maybe.

If you are playing as the allies, then IJ forces may not conquer PI completely as the Subic Bay base is not known to it. That is the issue with the extended map, the AI doesn't have a script for any of the new bases. The general tactical AI may attack those bases, but the reason for the scripts is to ensure it does.
So, if you are going to play against the AI on an extended map, you should vacate any new base (like Subic Bay) so that the AI will take control of it for sure.

There will not be any scripts written specifically for taking this base, but the game's exe makes AI react to enemies in adjacent hexes. Thus, you can put an Allied LCU in Subic Bay, and AI will react to the LCU from any adjacent hex. Or you can vacate Subic Bay entirely, and the rowboat corps will flip the base to the Jap AI.

Scenario 100, Allies.

Andy, I have found a legacy display glitch from scen 1 in scen 100.

Chinese 2nd Cavalry Corps (editor id 7741) starts the war in Loyang. Its a cav unit with the cav TOE. However, both the unit icon and unit photo thumbnail depict an infantry unit. I amended the glitch in the Editor for my game against the AI, but it would be nice to have the fix in the original scen 100 files.

Here is the glitch.

Scen 100, Allies

Andy, another scen001 legacy bug.

38th New Chinese Division (editor ID 7811) has a missplaced device in its TOE. In its Weapon slot 6, the unit has device 1314 MMG Squad. However, the unit's TOE points to device 252 Support Squad, which sits wrongly in Weapon Slot 7. Thus, if you enable replacements for the division, the division tries to get 210 MMG squads instead of 210 Support Squads. That represents a huge chunk of Chinese MMG squad production.
