Hello guys

wondering if you can help me with command's event trigger,
It's with the teleport to area action , currently i'm testing a Saudi Vs Iran scenario , i'm trying to randomize Iran's AA location , but even with changing side to Iran the editor shows only the saudi units to be included in this action despite my selection of Iran side !

is this an issue or am i doing something wrong

Hello?

Did you post a save of the issue as requested?...no

Did you wait a reasonable amount of time?...no, less than 24 hours, really?

So let's start there. If you are really that impatient, I would think common sense would say to provide as much information and description as possible.

well calm down here sir
I'm neither impatient nor pushing to hear from you or anyone , so kindly don't impersonate!

the thing is people usually reply in many occasions much sooner than this ,I just thought that my post wasn't noticed for some reason that's all, you could have just reminded me of the usual SLA !!

Anyway, in regards to the save file, I have attache it and my apologies for not noticing that it wasn't attached.
Kindly notice that I have tried to use the same event in other scenarios where I encountered the same thing; where the units available for teleportation are of a single side that are only the units of the First added side to the scenario. The Units of any other side simply don't show
Version 1.13.6
Build 972.12

btw, my reply is based on the post at the very top of the support forum...

http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=3585262

A) post a save
B) be patient and don't expect a quick and complex response if you haven't done A.

What he probably means is that the *.scen file that you uploaded has no valid events. There is one trigger and an unnecessary Condition but no Action and the event itself is incomplete. At a minimum an event consists of both a Trigger and an Action and you have only one without actually creating the event itself. Suggest that you go back to the docs and see Section 7.2 of the Manual.

Hi again

first my apologies about the confusion that i caused, so forgive me for being so noob with this tool
I have uploaded the scen file again. I have also tested the even , it was actually working, but because the event tool did not limit the units to be teleported only to the selected side ,I was unable to notice that the units of both sides were present

just one last question guys, is there is a way to filter out units according to sides when creating this event ?

( I have re-attached the scenario file with the the event in question created )

Presuming that what you wish to achieve is for the Iranian air-defence group to teleport around its deployment area every 15-minutes of game time whether engaged or not, your set up accomplishes this as you noted. I don't understand what the problem is now since only Iranian Group 2040 is highlighted on the Teleport Action and watching the event fire using the God's Eye mode, it is the only thing that moves.

Sorry, I have no idea what this

I was unable to notice that the units of both sides were present
actually means.

Second question = No, or at least none that I know of. Making sure that your teleporting units have unique names is a good way to keep it all straight. The list seems to populate based on the sequence that units are added and while some sort of filter or sorting system might be nice to have, with a little care and attention on the part of the scenario author they are really unnecessary and the Dev's probably have more important things in the to-do list.

there is no problem now I guess, I just wanted to point out that I thought that there was a problem when it was my own error!
