Supply will quickly become a growing problem in China but other areas are working FINE. Here we see an aerial ambush that nearly destroys an entire squadron of DB:

Here are the day's numbers. I was hunting bombers and managed to catch several squadrons over China and Korea. Decent tallies for few fighter losses.

The Frances losses were from a Kamikaze unit that tried to hit a TF of CVEs.

As bad as the ATA looks, the exchange continues somewhere around 1-1. Guess one really cannot complain about that at all.

Dan is now sweeping everywhere: Moppo, Keijo, Fukuoka, Nagoya, Osaka, Fusan, and Nagasaki.

The end is fast approaching. Dan has unloaded 500,000 fresh troops, 2.7 gadzillion supply, and now has about 5 trillion aircraft is action. These are SERIOUS numbers and I have counted them!

I have pictures of that as well. Will try to do a comprehensive Post for the last two days. If we get the blizzard I hope for tonight then I should have time to update thoroughly.

Been real busy and haven't had the chance for a serious update. Have kept my screenshots and will post at some point...

Dan still needs a 16k gain to none for you to reach the 2:1 for autovictory and is not accumulating points per day at a sufficient rate to reach that victory "well in advance of historical".

Not as one sided a steamroll as previous predictions seemed to portend.

You're putting up a tough fight.

Kudos for sticking with it to the end!

Thanks Hans. Really appreciate it.

Each turn is just dreadful to watch right now.

My bet is that we reach the 2-1 mark by May 1st to the 15th. Am currently working on a plan that might semi-safely net Japan a serious boost in VPs. It will be detailed tomorrow. I have the DAY OFF tomorrow. This is a hope. Supposedly had Wednesday off and the day totally blew up with me working 11 hours by the end. NOT FUN!

Just had this exchange with Dan:

It's dark days for Japan, indeed. I have a lot to fight with while you are stretched pretty thin.

Militarily it's hopeless for Japan, of course. That's the beauty of the victory point system. Even though Japan has lost the war, the realization hasn't set in yet. There's some inchoate - some unspecified - amount of punishment yet to be absorbed before the country and its leaders will concede.

So even as I press forward and punish, you have the ability to fight back, to nibble, to delay the inevitable.

No doubt the window for continued resistance is closing. I'm doing my best to close it as quickly as possible - but it's a big undertaking that forces me to think and allocate and stretch and innovate.

We're about 14,000 points now from the end of the war. I'll try to close it as fast as possible, mainly because that's part of the measure of victory but also because it means the end of the long, interesting, tough nightmare for you.

I figure you'll be determined to postpone the inevitable as long as possible. I respect that, which is the biggest reason I have to give a lot of attention to the game. If and when I don't, you sneak up and nip me in the behind.

My reply:

I would NEVER, EVER contemplate NIPPING your behind. BITING, swiftly KICKING, PUNCHING, TOMAHAWK chopping your behind would be much more like it!

BANZAI!

I’ve been watching the score as well. A pool for the day we hit 2-1 is starting in my thread!

In theory—and I am on thin ice here—I have the day off tomorrow. If no one has a crisis or dies, PERHAPS we cam do a pair or so…

I see a script for a major motion picture, lots of explosions centered around the plot line of forbidden love brought together by more explosions, then a bigger explosion, then cool airplanes that cause explosions, more forbidden love interrupted by a explosion, then a big battle with....

Come HELL or highwater I shall do a full update tomorrow. Within that update will be an explanation of how we hope to create an 'opportunity' for harvesting a decent amount of VP. It is on a wing and a prayer...
