Why it's still promoted that SPWAW supports internet play while it really does not support it. Why is this, is there a patch coming?

I expect it is one of the things that will come in a patch, saying I thing you can exchange saved game files as was recommended by SSI in the original. I think the miss leading line is a little unfair considering what they have already given us for free and what a great job they have done. It may have better asked them to confirm that internet play was to come, rather than coming so high handed.

No, its a fair comment, we wanted very much to get internet play in thisversion, but we just ran out of "moonbeans" to run on :-) When the powers that be get back from E3 we will ammend the web page. It does support pbem which though a bit cumbersome, with ICQ for "real time file transfer" you get *CLOSE* to an online experience with pbem. What we may be able to do is activate teh clock for pbem so you can limit how long you have to play a pbem turn, if desired. UNfoirtunately unless there is a programmer out their wh can devote a man month or so pro bono to the effort, it will be at least SP:The Nam or after that we will have teh opportunity to devote that man month (or more) to it ourselves. Our humblest apologies, but we have to sell something at some point to be viable in the long run. IT will happen eventually, but right now we are in a bit of a schedule hole.

And other websites do take information from your website. I understand that somethings cant be done in certain amount of time, but marketing stuff with undone features IS wrong. Well anyway, congrats for nice game.

If we were selling it you'd have a valid point. Please note the caveat at the start of the piece: Here are a few changes we are currently completed or are in the works. This is not the final feature list but a little insight. None of the features in the description are promised. I said we will ammend it. Here's my apology that you feel duped as well. Give pbem a try! IT is VERY close via direct file transfer to the online play of SP3. Just takes bit longer becasue you have to watch the replay to see what happened after your opponent plays their turn rather than during. SP3 online allowed no interaction (other than sending barbs and chiding to your opponent via chat...) with ICQ you can even do that :-)

Well i dont mind pebm, i still play VGAPlanets alot . BUT we were very excited about internet support and we were also dissapointed when it turned out to be not present in the game. Anyway i´m very pleased to hear that it will someday be supported. SPWAW could be a commercial game, so i dont mind. I was bit annoyed thats all. And lot of my friends were also. I guess we get over it

Unless somebody can do it , it will be at least SP:The Nam (in which case it would be back-patched to SP:WaW), but I can't say for certain. I am personally very disappojnted it could not get in, but unfortunately we just ran out of time. I will be pushing hard for it but can't give a firm date right now.

True Internet play would've made this the ultimate game. All my old wargaming buddies have long since moved away and we were really hoping this version would have the Internet-play option enabled. Oh well, maybe next time... Overall, still and excellent coversion and you can't beat FREE!!!!

Again, PLEASE TRY PBEM:-) Its a little slower, than true "online" but its "the only way to play" as far as I'm concerned :-)
