Picket lines of British and Japanese ground forces face each other in jungle terrain along the India-Burma frontier area from Cox’s Bazar to Imphal. Allied forces are masking the road-rail line connecting Cox’s Bazar-Chittagong-Dacca-Dimapur. Akyab remains in British control though it is not occupied – Japanese LCU are occupying known positions east and south of Akyab.
