I'm not sure if this is a display issue or not.

Game aborts when starting any scenario. Errorlog.txt attached.

Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

Could you please attach a DxDiag report file to your message?

How to get a DxDiag report file:

1. Click on "START" (on Windows 8/10 press “Windows key” and the “R” key at the same time)
2. Click "run" (skip this step on Windows 8/10)
3. Type in "dxdiag" and click "OK"
4. Check through the tabs and perform all tests
5. Click "Save all Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice
6. Attach the file to your message

Thank you for the reply. The DxDiag file is attached.

I've done the normal: uninstall/reinstall, used C: instead of D: as installation drives, all with the same result.

Didn't find a Battlefront serial number conversion with a google search until just now when looking for tech support after buying the game on Steam. Great game at least, if I can get it working.

Game doesn't start up. Tried setting multiple compatibility settings (administrator, Windows 7, DPI scaling, etc) and disabling UAC. Keeps acting like it's going to load (steam says running for a few seconds and I get the loading ring briefly. No error messages, nothing loads up. DXDiag attached.

Upon closer inspection, the loading ring runs for about 5 seconds, disappears and spins for another second or two. Once it goes out the second time, what appears to be a blank box (centered, maybe 10% of the screen width) is visible for a fraction of a second.

Try to disable all background programs in case these are interfering with the normal running of the game.

You can do this by running msconfig and disabling all non-windows start-up programs and services (except Steam).

Then once you have disabled all non-Microsoft services (except Steam ones), please run the game and see if the issue persists.

If it does not, please then reopen msconfig and reenable those services, one by one, until you find the program causing the problem.

Thank you for the guidance. I followed the instructions, including restart and still have the same issue with all non-microsoft services besides Steam disabled.

check your anti virus program to see if it's stopped any process from running, if it's clean, then add a exception to it, so it's added to the safe list / white list etc

Thank you as I really wanted to confirm that it was the exact same issue so as to ensure I didn't send you on a wild goose chase of a fix. The long story short is that AMD had unfortunately introduced an error in its video card drivers and it seems as though the only solution is to either roll back your driver to an older one, we've found that those from late 2015 seem to work fine with the game, or to one of their latest ones as they have apparently since then corrected the issue.

The best bet is to go to their website and try and hunt down either the latest driver for your video card for your computer, or to try and find an older one as I've described above. I apologize for the inconvenience but this unfortunately really is the only solution at the moment.
