22 July 1942 No, this isn't dead. Mainly lots of nothing going on for weeks on end, so there was nothing much to comment on. Things have picked up a bit as of late. Back on the 16th, the Japanese took another shot at Melbourne and got burned badly by it. quote:

He finally took Clark, but keeps bombarding at Manila, since he doesn't have the strength to take it. He probably could walk into Bataan, as all I have is about 260 AV sitting there. China's static, apart from bombing raids. I've been continuing to build up in Burma. Nothing's moving in without my say so. This turn, he decided to raid Suva. He's probably sick of my constant bombing raids to Noumea and Luganville. Lots of misses, but my B-26s managed to plant a couple hits on Taiyo. Surface ships bombard Suva, making a mess of my airpower there. He better avoid Pago Pago, as I'll most likely maul him good if he shows up. I have more than enough escorts for my bombers there. Plenty of dive bombers, too. quote:
