I love your game. First I thought Germany is doing quite well, now it seems you gain the upper hand. Will be interesting who will be in the offensive in a few turns. Could you show national moral? With Lemberg and Warsaw fallen, things might have changed.
The situation at the Isonzo is threatening for the CP. This might be the breakthrough of which Haig always dreamed...

One thing I don't like is the loss of NM by sinking U-boats. Lowering NM influences all fronts and should be avoided. The allies have lots of destroyers. So it seems to be wise, not to use the CP's subs too aggressively, resulting in a "fleet in beeing" for Germany. This would be solved, if lost subs wouldn't hurt NM at all (or just very little).

- Cfant : As of October 23 the NM stands at UK - 93 FR - 80 It - 95 Ru - 73 GR - 77 AH -72 OE - 82

Remember, I'm writing this from the view point of the Entente. Reporting the action to my superiors (you). So reading between the lines, and fronts I'm not covering a lot, the Central Powers have turned a corner and again are in control. The Breakthrough into the Baltic states was huge, possible decisive.

Lets Look at it: Stable front gets breached due to poor Generalship, Russia loses one IC and a Supply 10 City at minor cost. Russia has to rail 4 units (cost 2 IC rebuilt) to plug the hole. Two of those units are destroyed buying time (2 IC lost). Those units had to come from somewhere..... breach of Russia's line/attack on out of Lemburg (1 IC lost, line in retreat). Western Front goes on the attack a few turns too early to try and save Russia, unknow result.

For little lost, Russia loses 6+ IC..... CP is in control now. But that's ok, this game is one of give and take... Russia and retreat a lot.

- Benedict151 : TY, always good to know someone is enjoying the write up.

- Notes : Do to an issue with movement cost Turn 40 is being redone.. TY CP for giving me this option. I had left Basara (363,97) in Iraq open but with 2 units near it and a river covering it, 3 Action Points to take the city. But the 0 supply, 1 AP unit crossed the river, under ZOC and took the city. Game changer, the turn is being redone. After review there is no ZOC due to a 'cut' on the map, but not sure how the cost of crossing a river 364,97 to 363,97 has 0 cost?

Just a few heads up for players

Fog of War - Its best to manage/check your HQ support every turn. If you use the 'shift' key while moving units the orders will be confused and you will find units without support.

Goat Paths - Some of the Mountain Squares while saying they cost 4 AP, and do cost 4 supply, you can more into our out of them with less as long as no ZOC.

P Key - Use this 'report' key to show where the people are mad and might revolt. Shows spawn points for Partisan units.

Belgrade - CP should keep a unit on this city at all times once its captured. Bulgaria readiness will go up if they think your looting the Serbian capital all the time... greedy!

Lost at Sea - If you transport an Artillery units with a supply of shells, then check it at land fall... you will see a supply of one (or that's what's happened to me with the UK unit); But at the start of your next turn all the shells will return... not sure what will happen if its called on to defend on the CP turn.

Tax Break - You can get back half the MPPs invested in a Tech Chit, kind of like a 401(k). Both sides have pulled back chits in this game.... make sure you invest in something your actually going to need... lmao.

Home Defense - Some units that cant entrench can receive this benefit in country. Move a unit that's has doug trench's then moves, place the NEW unit in the entrenchment and enjoy the benefit. Air defense units work well at this.

Conscription Protest - I'm noticing that some UK IC units cost 31 MPPs to transport, others 29 MPPs on the same turn.... it might be based on what port your using.

Western Front:

France - Both sides trade IC around Lille in the opening rounds of the fall attacks. Entente use 13 shells to break the unit in Lille and follow it up with a mass move 'over the top'... the counter will be harsh but its needed.

Atlantic - One sub raiding, one trapped... it had 2.5 stars and 0 supply. North Sea and Iceland blockade each at 50%. Grand Fleet is massing outside of Dover straights.

Italy - Italy and AH continue to fight at higher elevation, looking for holes in the line.

Middle East:

Iraq - UK rally's around Basra to defeat OE IC that's marched down the river to the sea..... somewhere in the sand a OE Army is on the march.

Egypt - UK reinforces their ICs to strength 11. With Italy, units march to suppress the revolt.

Southern Front:

Balkans - The Greeks try to set a line south of Salonika while Serbian units march through the MTs. Montenegro try's to hold onto their capital.

Adriatic - French fleet shifts to ports and ends the blockade on the AH ports, only 2 squadrons left in their fleet right now... a DB & BB.

Eastern Front:

Poland - To many holes in the line.... Russia retreats after losing another IC and pushing through the line west of Lemberg. The Great Retreat is on, where will it end? Odessia falls to raiding german SF, that hammer has fallen on the need to guard the rear areas.

Baltic - German and Russian fleets disengage moving to ports.... 2 to 1 units lost.

Galicia - AH puts a new IC into the front lines, Russia responds but attacking it with 4 IC and destroys it, occupying a town south of Lemberg.

Prussia - Germany continues to push through the break in the line.... so many units its just a question of when they get supply that Russia will feel the pain.

November 20th 1915

Western Front:

France - Germany counter attacks the UK and French forces in no man's land.... three IC are destroyed but France holds onto the mine north of Arras and UK controls the land south of Ypers. The Entente continue the attack, destroy the German IC in Nice and take the city... units that can dig in, other units fill the gaps in the line.... more blood for little gain next month? UK changes plans and invests in R&D this month, and brings all air units up to full strength... no units being raised.

Italy - AH try's to stop the flanking of her line by operating units on coastal garrison into the MTs. Italy digs in on the newly gained ground while France rails in a Cav unit to help with scouting and mobility.

Atlantic - One sub raiding, first raiding sub sunk (woot). North sea blockade is at 100% for now, Iceland 33%.... till the High Seas fleet is seen. Grand fleet scouts the coast of Belgium and finds two subs in port... at the cost of half a heavy cruiser squadron. The orders go out, convoy duty units are to return to home port (L1 sonar upgrade)

Eastern Front:

Baltic States - Both sides shift units around now that the breach out of Prussia is secured, GR AT units is seen moving south. Russia braches for another push while trying to build a defensive line.

Poland - The Great Retreat continues, weak units are left behind as speed bumps.... GR doesn't follow... upgrading units?

Galicia - Both side dig in and reinforce, Russia's troops are worn out (sub 50% moral) after almost a full year of constant combat.

Middle East:

Iraq - UK continues to beat on the isolated OE IC, UK DTs dig in at towns NW of Basra... waiting for OE to counter attack out of Baghdad.

Egypt/Libya - Lost of partisan reaction, both sides having to deal with revolts. Two OE IC rail in by Gaza while UK destroys an entrenched unit SE of the city.

Mediterranean - A lot of ship movement as France withdraws from the Adriatic, Italy scouts the coastline of the Ottoman Empire.

Southern Front:

Mostly quiet

December 18th 1915

Western Front:

France - The battle for Lille continues, Germany destroys 1 UK, 2 FR IC and spots the landing units next to the Belgium coast. A MASSIVE number of units are railed in from the east (5?) to garrison the coast and fill holes. Entente continues to attack, two GR IC are wiped out and a breach is blown in the German line... but they are out of reinforcement... Cav and Marine units now fill the trenchs. France pulls units from the quiet areas to fill the gaps in the line.

Atlantic - Convoy units shift to port for reinforcements and upgrades. The Grand fleet covers the amphib unit... but with the High Seas fleet busy in the Baltic little chance of problems (?).

Italy - AH destroys an Italian IC that was not entrenched... that 3 to 0 in favor of AH on combat results. Italy upgrades their first unit to +1 IW.

Southern Front:

Greece - Salonika holds on, units from the south push north and hit a Bulgaria unit to the west for minor damage.

Adriatic - Montenegro continues to retreat from a strong AH army.... into Albania.

Middle East:

Libya/Egypt - Partisan units harass the rear areas... Entente responds by sending in 3 CV and other naval units to wear down the revolt.

Eastern Front:

North and Southern Russian Fronts - Units shift and reinforce with winter coming on.

Sorry, looks like the Screen Shots didn't get saved.

Shadow Front: Central Powers convince Norway to ship ore to Germany, max boat loads (Diplo hit +27%). Romania see's that there best interest is in Entente (+7%). Break down of MMPs per turn - UK 260, FR 300, It 125, Rus 305 - GR 520, AH 235, OE 150. Research is starting to come in for the Entente, but I would expect that's true for the CP. All major powers agree to reinvest heavily in R&D once done raising new units this spring. As of now: IW L1 0 all but OE and UK - TW Fr, GR, Rus, L2 OE, UK, IT, AH L1 - HA Fr, GR, AH L1 - Gas GR L2, Fr L1 - A varity of other ones at L1 for the respecting major (UK sonar L1, Russia Heavy Bombers L1 ect)

All Fronts:

Winter locks down most movement, in the west both sides rush into NML to grab land and entrench, in the east Russia cointinues to slowly pull back, in the south minor movement, at sea ships resupply in port(s).

Southern Front:

March 25th 1916

Shadow Front: UK demonstrates their new recon bombers, L1 upgraded. Norway and USA complain of the blockade of shipping lanes (both -3% for Entente). Italy says yes to raising a DT in Albania, UK says no to Cav Aussy in Egypt.

Western Front: Third battle for Lille (properly named now) opens with an exchange of IC, roughly 3 barrages of shells fired by each side. Troops and AT are seen moving up by both side near the Swiss boarder. UK lands their amphib unit as the men were getting sick on the ships (moral sub 50%)

Atlantic: Iceland Blockade is raised to 75% with the returning convoy protection groups. North sea is reduced to 50% as ships are sent to raid Norway ore boats..... if they don't want to play nice then the Grand Fleet will just reduce the MPPs the old fashioned way... piracy.

Italian Front: AH moves up an army on the left flank of the Italian line, pain for the Italian units is going to begin soon. Italy was unable to raise a new officance unit due to bleed off o resources by the continued revolt in Libya.. they will be calling on UK help soon!

English Channel: Using Subs/Mine fields UK blocks the English Channel and is reinforcing the Grand Fleet off the Isle of Man.... two more DB to be deployed soon and there is the feeling the High Seas fleet will want to challenge us soon.

Eastern Front:

Northern Russia - All quiet, one GR AT rails south to confront Lemberg. Russian units dig in, reinforce and some get new rifles (most Rus units still are not upgraded to LW1)

Southern Russia - Several GR and AH units close the gap with Russian ICs near Lemberg. Russia was hoping AH would be busy with Italy but it looks like they will contest our hold on their lands as well.

Southern Front:

Greece - Quiet, units reinforce. Combat in the mountain's is slow and costly, worse in the mud and cold.

Adriatic - Quiet, France moves up their SF unit, looking for operations if costal areas are left unguarded.

Dardanelles - Italian Fleet continues to scout the Turkish coastline.

Middle East:

Iraq - OE starts to move south from Bagdad... town along the rivers return to OE control. UK units dig in near Basra. Air units that once protected the city will be operated out soon.

Egypt - OE rails in a fourth IC near Gaza, UK responds by attacking it with 3 IC and rout it across the river. A fourth IC force marchs in from landing in Egypt to support the upcoming battle for Gaza.

Libya/Arabia - Three partisan units move through the sands for both sides.... hard to get resources into the area means towns might fall to the revolts.

Those Italians are the most successful I think I've ever seen. It might be hard for them to make much more progress for a while, but the pressure they are probably taking off the Russians should help overall.

Keep it up!

Shadow Front - National Moral report: UK 90 - Fr 76 - It 93 - Ru 69 - GR 72 - AH 67 - OE 65. Two german sub packs are reported off the SW coast of Norway

Western Front - German DT occupies Lille, then is destroyed by UK shelling and two Fr IC attacks, more new units are raised and placed on the line/or upgraded.

Atlantic - Convoy ships continues to return to home waters, a damaged sub is found and trapped against the SW Irish coast.

Italian Front - Italy, seeing that they will be outnumbered on the left flank start to withdraw from the high pass's they occupied last summer.

Eastern Front:

Northern Russia - Germany pounds the only Russian IC in contact with their troops with AT then destroys it in close combat... it looks like they are trying to cut off the north from the center of the Russian line.

Southern Russia - AH, with german AT support hammers the Russian IC in Lemberg and takes back the fortress city after 3 assults by IC.... Russia's couter attack is weak as no unit is allowed to leave their entrenchment.

to give some support to the fight.

Note: Weather has been rain for a few turns now.... its giving the SS a lot of 'mush'.. making them hard to see.

May 20th 1916

Shadow Front: Reports are Germany AT might be at L2, Russia learns that deeper trenches help the troops (L3), all western powers invest in better shovels design (RD chits).

Western Front:

France - Germany and France trade IC outside of Lille.. the depth on both lines is looking a little weak. Near the swiss boarder the Germans strike first and spot the French from conducting an offence... IC are traded here as well. After several failures, general Dubail is retired and Petain is promoted to command the Swiss Boarder army's.

Atlantic - Sub off Irish coast is sunk at little cost, UK continues to repair ships for possible confrontation with High Sea Fleet. Norway ore ships are NOT getting to Germany.

Italy - Full retreat from the left flank as the road through the MTs is taken by AH forces. One IC lost.

Eastern Front:

North Russia - German AT with IC and Cav units push south of Grodro (Kovno line) and wreck one Russian IC, they also push east of Warsaw and confront the line around Brest-Litovsk destroying a rear guard DT. Russia folds its line around the fortress and rush's all reservers ahead to help the retreat. Germany lose's one Cav unit and Mackinson HQ is left too close to the front line, reduced to str 3 - that should slow them down for a few weeks!

Southern Russia - AH with German support make contact with the line east of Lemberg, Russian AT shells lead unit and ICs conduct minor raids. General Brosilofi conducts a third raid through the Jablonitsa pass to try and convince Romania to join the war.

Greece - Units pull back to better supply and await the Bulgarian Army.

Adriatic - French sub fleet gets hit hard after failing to damage AH DB in port.... France needs to rebuild this fleet and soon. Serbian DT sails out of Montenegro leaving on DT in the capital facing a complete AH army.
