My sincerest condolences as well. IIRC correctly James did the very first review of our very first game and we'd often see him in the forums as a player and contributor as well. Rest in peace James.

Dear All, we received a message from Betty Fernandes, James Cobb's sister-in-law. We pass along her note and picture. Thank you everyone for your kind words.

Tragic and frightening that the flu took both of them and still were relatively young!
Normally its the old and sick that you expect the flu to be life threatening.

RIP the both of you

Requiescat in pace

Sorry to hear that the flu took you and your wife in such an untimely manner. I enjoyed your articles and reviews, and the pleasure I found in them remains for me.

Like many on here, Jim Cobb was influential in my early days of gaming (the late '70s) in magazines such as The Wargamer and Strategy & Tactics, with insightful reviews and articles on all things strategy gaming.

RIP Jim and Angela Cobb
