Baltic States - GE pulls back the northern arm of the encirclement of Vilna, to upgrade to IW2 is a possibility. The attack up the Minsk rail line destroys one Ru IC but all shells from the AT are used up and several GE units are damaged lightly. A weak counter attack further reduces one GE IC to str 2 but all positions SW of the River are given up.

Central Russia - All units are fully entrenched, and brought up to full strength... but several still are at IW 0.

Galicia - The sacrifice by Russia in this area, mainly at the Pass has allowed Italy a great victory.... one AH IC removed at the 'throat' of the pass but all Ru units heavly damaged.

Black Sea - OE and Ru fleets meet for the first time.... is OE trying to expand the bridgehead at Odessa?

Shadow Front: Research MMPs spent over the last two plus years, UK 850, Fr 1100, IT 550, Ru 825, USA 250; GE 2125, AH 1325, OE 225.... close to the same but WOW; GE has invested a TON.

Western Front:

France - GE bombards the IC in Nancy for what felt like forever... 15+ rounds. Followed up by 4 assaults by GE IC... the defending unit was destroyed but the city is still held by France. UK moves their Tank unit into contact with GE east of Lille.

Italy - AH destroys the IT IC that advanced outside the entrenchments. Italy attacks AH units that railed into the battle zone of Trieste, routing it back out of contact.

Atlantic - Raiding subs (4) are hitting the coastline of USA... far from UK so its taking a LONG time for the escorts to get across.

Status: offline 		Eastern Front: General Von Rennenkampf, accused of treason is shot and replaced by Alexeyev; now in charge of the Riga HQ

Baltic States - GE moves up and makes contact with Ru units outside Vilna. Russia rails in a third HQ to Vilna, attacks and destroys one IC.

Southern Russia - Both side reinforce and dig in holes in the ground... many of the CP units are looking like they have IW2

Greece - All quiet as Serbian units recover from Bulgarian attacks... Serb IC at strength 1, Bulgarian units at strength 7 (3).



Middle East:

Palestine - OE units continue to retreat north, chased by UK troops..... no units destroyed but many of the OE troops are under 5 strength.

Iraq - UK makes contact with the DT garrisoning Baghdad, a call to home office is sent for reinforcement and 3 recon bombers are operated to the combat zone.

Libya - The revolt is almost over.... four units are chasing one partisan unit.

Status: offline 		- cfant: We talked about this a few turns back and the Central Powers felt that the Entente was on the 'road to victory', and with the scripts leaning to that after 1916 (USA joining) I would agree but its not a slam dunk. Germany controls the East and Western Fronts, while the Ottoman Empire will sue for peace very soon, releasing a fair number of troops... but all far from other combat zones.

December 30th 1916

- Shadow Front: Norway continues to see things the German way (52%).... UK care's not and the Grand fleet continues to sink ore boats. A poll of each nations willingness to conduct war is UK 84, Fr 62, It 87, Ru 52 / GE 55, AH 47, OE 13.... the turks are done, its is written in the sand.

- All Fronts: Its dead winter, and while there are trench raids little combat is conducted. Russia does lose one IC that advanced outside the trench's SW of Vilna. Most countrys reorgize units for the next summer. Italy saved enough to develop a Tank unit (6 months), France a new HQ (all countys need one but only Fr could afford it), Russia and Italy raise a new Serbian Volunteer corps. UK gets a new type of sonar (L2) and better shovels (TW L2).

Status: offline 		February 24th 1917 - Going to post a shot of each front and put up less information this time.. so you can see all at this time in the war.

Shadow War: Norway shifts even more to the Central Powers (55%), Romania starts to adjust to the pressure of the Entente (+8%), the battle field has basically stagnated perhaps its time to put pressure on all inactive country's.

France - Germany attacks at Nancy and takes the city, destroying one Fr IC. From the Swiss border to Nancy the Germans advance and make contact with the French line... a first since 1914. France counter attacks and destroys 4 GE IC, but at great cost.

Status: offline 		Libya - The IC of Arabs in revolt and supported by OE is wiped out by a combined UK/It ground and sea units.

Caucasus - Little movement or combat as Russia doesn't want to lose strength on an army that's about to surrender.

Western Front:

France - Germany and France trade IC near Nancy, France retakes the city but the German units in contact from Nancy to the Swiss border entrench. GE also moves up an TANK unit to the edge of the fortress. UK continues to sail in more troops and takes up the trench's that the French left while marching to the battles around Nancy. Lille is captured by passing UK troopers but not garrisoned.

Italy - AH moves up more units but does not advance into contact with IT forces around Trieste. Italy, with support from Fr and UK destroys the AH IC that's on the 'corner' of the battle line.

Atlantic - Two subs raiding, UK has a force of 8 squadrons DD and CN (light) clearing the sea lines. The Iceland blockade is at 66%, the North Sea at 100%; the Grand Fleet is massing between UK and Norway.

Northern Russia - Trench raids and AT barrages where there is contact between the two Empires. Germany destroys one Ru IC, Russia routes one GE IC. Lots of mud so little moement of troops.

Southern Russia - Slow advance up the Pass by a full AH army. Russia continues to shift troops for pure defense.


Balkan Front:

Greece - Units from the Middle East start to transport in, soon another attempt on breaking the Bulgarian line and supporting Romania (in joining the war) will happen..... Summer 1917?

Adriatic - Several groups of ships move west, heading to England. In other places the French and Itlian fleets siege AH ports and try to sink the weak ships hiding there.


Iraq - OE units feeing the sand for the MTs of home.

Iraq - See above

Libya - One Partisan unit left in the deep desert of Egypt... UK Cav rides south to try and eliminate this unit. All other units (Italian, Greek, UK) move towards ports to sail 'home'.

Palestine - OE is at 1% (385pts) national moral... she retreats into the home Mountains of Turkey. Several UK units march to the coastal ports for shipment to other battle fields, several with the Laurence HQ pursue the retreating OE units, damaging one IC to str 3, and only spotting the other as they flee north. OE ends still in the war, at 1% (201)


Note: England was given the option at the start of the turn to fight on and utterly destroy the Ottoman Empire, or offer terms (Armistice) and end the war once they reach 0%...... I chose Terms.

Shadow Front: The Ottoman Empire has fallen, after a few weeks at 1% they leave the war! All Entente units inside her boarders are moved to the nearest edge, all CP units moved out as well. One poor Air Ship units got lost and is now trapped in the desert. Both GE and AH were not happy, loss of the will to continue the fight was massive (-25% each).

Western Front:

France - East of Verdun Germany and France fight it out, trading two IC each and many other units damaged. UK prepares to assault east of Lille to distract German reserves.

Italy - AH continues to rail in units from the Russian Front, and deploy new units NE of Trieste. Italy can do little but dig in and reinforce the current units on the front line... no reserves are left on this front.

Atlantic - With what appears a good present of the High Seas fleet busy in the Gulf of Riga, the Grand Fleet breaks off its blocade of the Dover straights and Norwegian ore line to shift closer to the GE coastline.

Eastern Front:

Northern/Southern Russia - All quiet as there is still a lot of mud. The Russian defenses are developing nicely, but we are the CP line facing them.

Baltic - The Russian navy moves up and guards the Gulf of Finland, all but 2 squadrons are at full strength.

Caucasus - A full army of IC are shifted to rail heads to operation to any front that needs them the most.

Balkan Front:

Greece - All quiet except the GRN, the Entente tries to capture it but only gets the BB while the DD escapes to AH ports.

Adriatic - AH naval units showily getting ground down.....

Middle East:

The war is over, all units are marching for the costal ports.

Shadow Front: USA and Romaina sinply are not interested in joining either side, but diplomats continue to be sent to each nation. National Moral stands at UK 83, Fr 57, It 84, Ru 49 / GE 28, AH 24

Western Front:

France - The ground is soaked with blood outside of both Nancy and Lille as Germany tries to break the Entente. CP rail in units from the Eastern front to fill hole, uses 3 highly upgraded AT and air units to destroy 2 Fr IC, 1UK IC, 1UK TANK.. and damage several other units. The Entente however have a lot of reserves by this two city's, the counter attack destroys 4 GE IC and maintains the current trench lines.

Italy - AH moves ahead and makes contact with the units outside of Trieste, the ensuing battle both side lose one IC. The fighting is heavy and UK rails a unit right to the front line to fill a gap, Italy starts making plans to withdraw from the right hand flank of the city as she is too stretched out.

Atlantic - One Raiding sub is caught off the Canadian coast and sunk.. the others are in the deep south. The Grand fleet now moves up and blockades Germanys North Sea ports and mines/subs the entrance into the Baltic.

Status: offline 		Greece Front - A reshuffling of units start to advance in the mountains, while the HQ eyes up that the Entente still control the port near Salonika. UK recon bombers attack the Bulgarian HQ and try's to reduce the readiness of all units its supporting.

Baltic - The Russian Navy tries, and fails to break the blockade of the Gulf of Riga, no German ships sunk, and now the counter will have to be absorbed.

Northern Russia - German moves out of their trench's and advances on Vilna in two spots..... Russia see's this as the time to counter attack. One GE IC destroyed, a Cav unit heavly damaged but 4 Russian IC are left exposed! Russia decides to assault out of the 'Riga' HQ zone..... units push into Prussia.

Southern Russia - All quiet, the garrison units by Odessa join this front leaving that bridgehead to the Navy to deal with.

Shadow Front: Central Powers NM continues to drop but they are on the attack in France, Italy and Russia.. better weapons, more experienced HQ and desperation are driving them forward. Norway once again complains about her ore getting sunk (63%), soon it will not be words but guns she will respond with! Every week its more bloodshed, some of the loss's are not getting reported anymore, just too much death.

Western Front:

France - The battles by Lille and Nancy continue, but at a reduced intensity as many of the units are filled with raw recruits (low moral), one UK and one GR IC lost. GE pulls back its armor from outside the fortress, UK decides its too expensive to regroup her armor till winter.

Italy - AH retakes Trieste and destroys one IT IC, Italy counters by wiping out the DT on the front line NW of the city. UK units from the Middle East start landing and getting upgraded/reinforced(IW1) on Italian soil. Italian units in the rear recive new weapons as well (IW2).

Atlantic - Another of the raiding subs is spotted (Intel Tech) off the coast of Spain and one light CN and DD respond... damage is minor.

Northern Russia - Germany makes contact with the Russian Units that have crossed the river into Prussia but little combat right now, next turn. The advance units outside of Vilna get pounded, three Ru IC lost, Russian units near by retreat behind the city. The 'Riga' army entrenchs while the Cav unit breaks though and captures the NM city of Prussia!

Southern Russia - Movement and reinforcement, where units are in contact trench raids are conducted if possible.

Baltic - The German Navy retreats without firing a shot..... Russia controls the Gulf of Riga!
