Strike Tutorial 1, strike 3 second part where the F16 is doing the straffing. Followed the notes provided,
the F16 does one pass then climbs back to 36000ft I have to reattack manually 4 more times. My take from the notes
is I should be able to allocate per the notes and the F16 make 5 straffing passes and then RTB.
Is there something I am missing to do in this mission?

Yes a save would be good. This might be one for the tech forum. Not sure.

Here is an attached save (hopefully I did it right).
I also found that after F16 climbs back to 36000, I select auto attack the F16 strafes the remaining 4 runs automatically but have to RTB manually.

Based on Zahar00's save, it looks like the issue is that the CBU-103's are considered stand-off weapons, and the A/G Gun doctrine excepts aircraft with stand-off weapons. With that loadout you will need to manually order an attack then manually order RTB.

For non-standoff loadouts (Mk82, Mk84, etc), if you set "A/G Strafing (gun)" to "Yes" and "Weapon State, Pre-Planned" to "Winchester", the aircraft will do exactly what you want. They will attack using their primary weapons, then strafe until they are out of gun ammunition, then RTB automatically.

After the CBU-103s are dropped the F16 goes RTB. The notes that came with the tutorial has the player unassign the aircraft and then manually attack the second set of tanks using the suggested settings. But that only results in one strafing run at a time (you have to manually attack 4 more times). I was able to get the F16 to do all 5 strafing runs in Auto Attack mode and then manually RTB.
Is it possible something is missing in the tutorial notes or the suggested set up is wrong?

This annoy's me too.

When using F1 the plane will do multiple runs when it can't shoot all the allocated bursts in 1 run, but when using shift-F1 it doesn't.

I'm playing the scenario operation moked atm where there are multiple airfields.
It's such a mess to keep track of things because planes keep dropping targets.

In this case I want to strafe the AAA first using the shift-F1 command, and then drop bombs or rockets on the parked planes.
Using F1 command on the AAA they will drop the bombs or rockets first

This one should go to the tech forum I think. If you post a save there the devs will take a look.

Bart has provided an updated scenario file for this tutorial, with the issue resolved. See attachment.

This will also be included in the next public update.
