I know I have read this somewhere, but how can I control a formation?

Not sure what you mean, but I will take a stab at it - see the 'Elmer Assist Primer' document in your main game folder.

Yes, I read that but do not see how to control one formation. Elmer can control all, but say I want to take control of the 101st Airborne in a scenario-can I do it?

For those units that you don’t want the AI to move, use the Fixed (Manual) command.

That looks as if it is from the new TOAW. I don't see that option for TOAW III on the Formation Report.

F12 The F12 function key toggles on/off the PO mode. You can tell which mode is which since the objectives will show on the map and micro map views in the PO mode.
\ Same as F12 key – just a different key to accomplish the same thing.


Or pick this one from the Play Drop Down Menu:
