Jumping into this since Uncommon Valor just won't run on my machine for odd reasons. It has been years since I played PacWar or UCV so maybe I have just forgotten this stuff.

Looking at production, go figure the UI and documentation both stink. I am, I think, checking my aircraft production mid February 1942 as the allies. I see basically no planes I want (F4F, SBD, B25) being built and only 5 active aircraft factories at all producing only a tiny number of new planes. The manual has section 13.3 talking about alteration of production (Japanese only) so am I not in control of the production of allied material or I am just missing the obvious way to control my factories and actually use my industrial might?

Other question, disbanding. I keep seeing units that must be disbanded. Why? Oddly if I do not disband them the game will not allow me to disband them

disbanding, some units transfer to ETO. use them as training squadrons, just before disbanding/withdrawing skim off the trained pilots and give them recruits.

allied production is fairly fixed. some on map production some off map. and always good for a laugh units arriving with aircraft not being produced yet.

have fun. there are things you can do with the editor (beyond me) if you mod its not stock.
