Sorry i must tell that long campaign in SPWaW isnt very good.In theese days im playing SPWW2 and i find that their long campaign is much more better. Maps are wonderfull,i cant understand that computer could generate so nice maps.Their system with difficuilty is a very good idea. Changing a front is good idea too.(but can be improved - i have idea about that you could not change front around 5 or 6 battles to dont allow change front after each battle.).Setting how many battles you can play a long campaign is plus too. One of things that i miss in SPWaW are spotting aircrafts. OOB files has much more place for new units. (what about making long campaign from look of battalion in war.Your forces will fight a battle in location .these battle wil be divided to 4-5 engagments where you will have limited sources to repair and reinforce. I know that you have Megacampaign but for some people like me is megacampaign too away becouse im not from USA or West Europe and This game will never come to Slovakia.Buing from internet is very risky thing.) I dont think that your game is worse, SPWaW has a big potencial to be best WW2 tactical game.

Hello and welcome. About OOB files provided with the game they are at their limit, and, as staded from Matrix crew, to rewrite them is a long and diffucult job. This means to rewrite the entire game code and this is not scheduled for the immediate future for spwaw. About spotting aircrafts you can set up a bombing mission during deploy and set entry and exit points at the opposite corners of the map and if you are lucky enough, i.e. your plane is not shot down by AA fire, the enmy positions will be revealed (i have version 5.01). I hope this will help you.

Unfortunately I must agree that the long campaigns are much better in SPWW2...I particularily love the WW2 campaigns as they have a Canadian campaign...yes the maps generated in SPWAW are often quite silly...especially the city grids with fifty or so houses crammed together with no space between them....oh well....

Sorry do you know a place where SPWW2 can be entirely downloaded ? Will you please put here the URL ? Is it Dos-based ? Too many people talking about that..I have to understand why.... About the SPWAW long campaign .. I played a Long Campaign one time in my life just for trying it..the ending after a lot of battles (sometimes with repetition )was this phrase : "The war is over"... it was in SP1 ..since then I promised to myself to never try it again..!! Anyway I am happy becuase SPWAW has designers who deserve full respect !! Their designed Campaigns are what the best we can expect from SPWAW ...so I simply do not care any more about the Long Campaign..also the campaign generator is a good improvement... As regards the shifting of fronts.. I too would like to see a campaign system that let the player shift his core forces from one front to another..it would require a new concept of scenario's node-type within the battle's tree system that compounds a campaign..something that could be parametrized in the design phase.. through it the designer could ask the player to which front to be assigned when he arrives to that node..he offer a list of other destinations from that one..(which are obviously new scenario's numbers )..this way the player may be free to decide it .. Actually the player is forced to change next destination battle only depending on its past results I really think this is a natural evolution for the campaign editor...I do not know WHEN but I am sure this will be at least provided for the future SPWAW's rewritten versions if ever they will see the light.. In the meanwhile enjoy what you have.. [ June 06, 2001: Message edited by: ruxius ]

Ciao Ruxius, puoi trovare Spww2 ver.
