In an ongoing game I have upgraded my russian light tanks to level 1.

Without any upgrades the soft DV is 2 and the hard DV is 1.

With the tankupgrade to level 1 the soft DV is still only 2 but the hard DV is DOWN to 0,5

To make things even more strange this doesn't happen to all russian light tanks.... only one of them.

Two other light tanks with the same upgrade gets the soft DV 3 and the hard DV 1,5.

I have a saved Prt Scr of this but I don't know how to show it in this post

The difference is attributable to terrain bonus/penalty perhaps? Is the light tank in question in a swamp hex?

The light tank that gets hard DV 0,5 is in a town in a clear/river hex
the other tanks are in towns with a forest hex

Should that really matter... in a town?

And when the same tank was at level 0(in the same town) it had Hard DV 1.... after the upgrade it went down to 0,5

Moved the "strange" light tank out of the town and Hard DV went up to 2(did an upgrade to level 2) so this now looks normal

One of the other light tanks moves into a town/clear hex and the Hard DV goes down to 1(it was 2 before due to an upgrade to level 2)

No other units then light tanks show this strange behavior that I know of..... anyone seen anything like this?

Hi Gunnar

Armoured units face penalties when defending urban areas from infantry units, so by moving them out of the urban area these stats should return to normal.

Normal Tanks and Heavy Tanks should be the same, although their higher basic stats will mean that they won't be as weak in this situation as a Light Tank unit.
