Status: offline 		No, the manual that comes with the game is electronic (PDF) only. And, regrettably this manual has not been upgraded while the game has gone through many revisions. The manual is an important read but you should pay attention to the forum and read some of the more AARs to really get a grip on the game.

Status: offline 		I tried reading through the manual to get a sense of the game interface before starting to play it, but I was just overwhelmed by all the choices the game gives you and unable to figure out which things I needed and which I didn't. So I plunged into the short scenarios which were tremendously helpful at learning the interface and a bit of tactical stuff, and I referred to the manual as I needed to when I didn't understand what was going on.

Between the manual, the game, AARs and forum discussions I finally felt comfortable with the game and have been playing nearly every day since. Here's a page from the manual:

Status: offline 		When I search for "witpae manual", first link is ftp on matrixgames with 1/4th of pages (maybe I can see it, because I have account there, I don't know). That is the one you get with the game. Anyway, most of manual is the same, as it was in WitP, and most of that one, is the same as from War Plan Orange :)

Speaking of manual. Does anyone have Rearming Table from BBfanboy post, which I can print as single A4 page (or maybe two)? I'm tired of flipping the same pages time, and time again...

Status: offline 		I had my attached electronic PDF printed and bound in a spiral note book for $78 US
and it is not only larger but easy to sticky note, and copy tables from. I had
it done at a FedEx store. I was hoping for Alfred's final edition at some point but
figured that it may go to the back burner. PS I used their better paper and its worth it
it is very clear.

Any one of us with the game could send the PDF file to someone, but that would violate the copywrite and terms of sale to us. Hence, I think Matrix does not make the manual available for free download or even purchase separate from the game. Pricing for the game had variations depending on whether you wanted no manual, PDF manual only, paper only or both PDF and paper. Last I heard the paper version is sold out and no reprints are planned (unless the update Alfred was working on can be completed and approved by the copywrite holder).

Best bet is to wait for one of Matrix's occasional sales that cuts the price of the game by about 1/3. I think last year there was a summer sale and a Christmas/NY sale.

Status: offline 		1.  AE has both a PDF and a hard copy manual.

2.  It is not possible to purchase either the PDF or hard copy without purchasing the game at some stage.

3.  There is no complete legitimate PDF version available for download.

4.  AE purchasers of the digital download only acquire the PDF manual as part of their purchase.  These purchasers can subsequently purchase the hard copy as an upgrade to their digital download purchase.  This option applies to all Matrix games which are available in both digital and boxed versions where the boxed version includes a hard copy.

Status: offline 		Alfred has made so many contributions on this subject, I took the many "stickies" and
put them in a text file, organized them, and placed them as an appendix in my printed
8x10 bound version. Very helpful. I had meant to edit the manual and reference the new
appendix sections but it became way to much of a pain and I get lazier on the weekends.
I also have another PDF with many helpful, "Damn, I didn't know that", blurbs from many
forumites and intend to print another helpful hints book. Just in case I am still playing this
years from now.
