Hello,

I'm looking to create a Czechoslovakia 1938 scenario. Yes, there are several scenarios already out there, but (1) it actually disconcerts me that the Czechs do pretty well in most of them, and (2) since I am Czech, I can read _a lot_ of the Czech language material on the state of the Czechoslovakian Army at the time.

So I'm looking to make my mod as realistic as possible, using Czechoslovakian weapons, Czechoslovakian unit structures down to the squad level -- a 1930s Czechoslovakian infantry squad was basically a rifle / LMG squad. (And this would make sense as Czechoslovakia historically made really good light weapons and exported them all over the world ... so it would follow that its army would be chock full of these kind of weapons ... which apparently it was).

This makes me wonder about the equipment characteristics in the equipment editor.

I would imagine that TOAW tables would already exist that would basically compare the fundamental characteristics / effectiveness of the various types of Machine Guns, Mortars, AT cannons, Howitzers, etc.

Can someone lead me to one of them.

Similarly, it should be(come) possible to compare the relative effectiveness of an infantry squad based on its composition.

Yes, I figure that I can construct the rifle / LMG squad by simply creating a unit complosed of rifle squads + (properly defined) LMGs

But as I'm adding those Czech weapons to the mix (and will go back and redefine the German ones if I have to), I'm wondering if such weapon comparison tables already exist.

In particular, I'd be interested how "anti-aircraft" and "anti-tank" effectiveness of the various weapons has been determined by the makers / users of TOAW.

Thanks much for any help that any here could provide

There is an 'Equipment List' in the Manuals Folder in your main directory, that's as close as you will get.

There are two 'alternate' databases that were created in the past. I think they both can be had in Post #32 here:
http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=2843599&mpage=1&key=

Neither comes with a detailed breakdown like you are looking for. Probably the most comprehensive reworking of the original database comes with FitE2. There is also a modified database with the Operation Neva scenario. Bot of these are, however, limited to Eastern Front equipment.

FitE2 is in your Custom Graphics Folder, Operation Neva is in the WWII East Front Folder.
